Tourney rules:
1. Players must not be above 1100 1v1 ranked ELO on DE ( We will check if players manually lower their ELO on purpose to participate )
2. Players must have played at least 30 ranked games, with a current match history. Accounts that were made after the date of the first announcement, 3rd of October, are automatically not legitimate for registration. Final decisions fall to the admins and have to be accepted.
3. Players must sign up with their most well-known nickname and must play their games with their most well-known nickname being shown in-game. Steamlink or xBox Live link needed.
4. Players have to sign up for the tournament on this discord: https://discord.gg/ZZthKfEUxs and schedule their matches there, write down picks and bans, as well as upload the game recordings.
Toornament link will be following within the next days.
5. There will be no drafting, per match each Civ can only be played once by each player. Every Player can ban 1 Civ and 1 Map before the game. The Player with lower Elo bans first (Map and Civ)
Deadlines&Scheduling
All players must schedule their games within the given time frame. Admin loss for those who are not showing up in time or make it impossible for their opponent to schedule.
In case of rescheduling, alignment with the admins is required.
Respect & Fairplay
Every player must respect their opponents. Bad behavior (determined by Admins) may result in a warning and may lead to immediate disqualification of the player. This tournament values sportsmanship and fairness. Any insult, racism or flaming will not be tolerated.
Players are requested to limit the time taken between games as much as possible to make the experience smooth for everyone.
No Smurfing
All players have agreed to the No Smurf rule. Each player must submit all relevant player usernames for Admin discussion. Smurfing and account sharing is not allowed. Any discovery of the aforementioned will result in player's disqualification.
Recorded games
All game records must be uploaded by the winner on the ABCD discord in the belonging channel. The files should be named "Name1 vs Name2 G1,G2,G3"
Communication
Each player must be fluent in English and is responsible for scheduling, possible disputes, and everything else regarding their participation.
Streaming & Spectating
Openstreaming for all games besides Semifinal and Final, those will be casted live by the hosts themselves
You have to advertise the hosts Artemizplayz and Debbie.
If you want to stream your own played game you need to put 120s delay or turn off your stream for the meantime. Spectator delay 5 min.

Restarts
There will be no restarts for this event.
Bugged Map Restarts
A player can request bugged map restarts during the first 3 minutes (game time).
A bugged map is defined as the following for standard resource starts:
Gold, Stone, Berries: Are bugged in a forest and not accessible- counts for all resources that are meant for each player ( eg. for Arabia all 3 gold spots and both stone spots must be accessible and not bugged in a forest ) doesn't count for extra stone/gold spots around the map.
If questions appear use discord channel to ask the admins.
Hidden Different Civilizations
"Hide Civilizations" must be selected when hosting the lobby on DE.
Different Civilizations means a civilization must be picked, choosing "Mirror", "Random" or "Full Random" at the start of the game is not allowed.
If a player incorrectly chooses a civ that has been banned or has previously been played, their OPPONENTS may choose their civ, from the available civs left.
Graphical Mods
Any graphic changes that only affect the player's Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition are allowed.
Cheating
Cheating is not allowed under any circumstances. Players using any kind of cheat will be disqualified from the tournament and banned from future events.
Automatic Agreement & Punishment
All the game settings provided in this post MUST be followed. Not following them may result in disqualification.
No Laming
Sheep stealing/boar killing/ressource walling before the opponent has reached feudal age is strictly prohibited. If sheep of the opponent are accidentally lamed, leave them at the place they were found and don’t send them anywhere else. This tournament should allow every player to have fun and play a proper game according to their skills.
No towerrush/No Douche
It is prohibited to place any tower or TC in the ecosphere of the opponent before both players reached Castle Age in a way that the building range covers any of the standard ressources of the opponent restricting them in taking those.
This includes the starting minerals, berries and the three closest woodlines to the starting TC. So it is assured you can always build defensive towers.
An example for an ecosphere on Arabia is shown below:
For Oasis with a little unconventional woodline, the ecosphere is the pie piece that encloses all starting ressources instead as shown below:
In the end, if ever a feudal forward tower appears it remains up to admins to evaluate the situation, so be cautious that your tower or TC replacement does not block any of the opponents starting ressources with arrow fire (don’t forget additional range of Fletching).
Server
Players should together work out a server that gives the most equal pings for the two players, if they cannot agree on a server they should speak to an admin.
Restoring
In the case of disconnections, the players must attempt to save and restore. The players must not look at the map after saving the game & before restoring.
All the .aoe2record recorded game files (multiple parts of the game before/after drop) must be provided when posting the recorded games.
If restoring is not possible, the recorded game should be provided, along with any additional information to the Admins instantly. Subsequently, facts will be analysed and a final decision made. If an Admin is not around at the time of playing and the players cannot agree on a result, continue with the rest of the series and if the series is tied 2-2 at the end, then the final game shall be rescheduled.
