Hello guys, I'd like to know your opinion on the situation im going to describe below.
we have player1 and player2 playing on a tournament, player1 higher seed than player2
they both have to provide they're accounts to login on the tournament
player1 has two accounts, and gives one of them, the "most known".
player2 gives its only account.
before the the tournament player2 practice a lot and earns 200 elo, now seems to be a superior player than player1, player1 of course can access this info oin aoe2.net profile.
player1 didnt play any game in the whole week, and its elo seems very low, player2 sees that on aoe2.net, and then feels very confident and saves a strat for a heavier opponent.
the day of the tournament player 2 loses 3-0.
a few weeks later player2 realizes that player1 has a smurf that is 200+ elo than the main account provided for the tournament, anyways since the tournament was a few weeks ago player2 is not sure of the level of that account the day of the tournament, but it is clear that player1 used it to practice and probably play rankeds without being detected, while every ranked match player2 did was visible to player1
nobody knows that smurf account real level becose it has not even the (aka), and nobody checked it before or after the tournament, even tho the tournament has anti smurfing rules, but player1 admited the existence of the smurf account,
that's it, i would like to know your opinion on this. since there is not a lot of clear information about smurfing, i dont think there is a clear answer, but i think we need to debate about this.
