I havent played aoe2 for long years and ive never been a good player anyway. now ive been watching many replays and guides about the game, i feel like im going in the right direction to become a decent player. about this i have a few questions.
1-Should i play AOC on Voobly or AOFE on steam? I've heard AOFE is more balanced and a better game overall but it looks like all the tournaments are played in AOC which makes me think its the accepted multiplayer version in community
2.I really dont understand why its a good tactic to use rams to push against ranged units, cant the opponent simply micro his ranged units to attack my units that are moving behind rams?
3.To test the best counter to certain army compositions, im trying to use custom scenario for testing, but im terribly failing at that, last time i couldnt change exploration settings and player 1 and 2's civilizations, i couldnt even add some cavaliers or which upgrades units will have or not. I have looked around but couldnt find a guide for this matter.
4. Is bonus damage coming from upgrades ignore enemy armor? I read that in a wiki comment i think.
5. What is the easiest and most time-effective way to practice hotkeys?
