you can have early blacksmith tech with kts, that's the point.it may be 100 food more expenssive but it's nothing compared to the 650 food you have to take to make a castle. yes 650 because you also need at least 2 pcs more.
150 food saved is only part of the picture. Meanwhile, you save 75W (market + smith + mining camp compared to rax + stable + smith), you also need less res to make units (conqs from 1 castle vs knights from 2 stables), not to mention that a well placed castle can protect a large part of eco. Yes it costs 650 stone but its worth it in this case.
No its not as simple as "650 extra res need" for conq guy.
You avoid a barracks, you avoid 2 stables. In the end, fc conq guy needs smith + market+ castle+ stonecamp vs rax + smith + 2 stable so thats 400 more res required; and you have 200 stone in stock at the start- means just 200 more res, and dont add tc fast, concentrate on eco techs, and since we manage 1 tc and 1 castle only we get more time to micro.
if you don't +2 asap you're gona die to boomed pocket.
also you have no rax but it's a problem. what can you do vs flank's scouts?

i'm not going to calculate it but i bet my hand that kts guy have a better eco than conq guy. and his army is also superior until at least 22 mins and way more if you damage the flank, which is most likely to happen unless he's stone walled his ass at 10'.
conq are fun and you can even win games doing them, but best option is going knights, that's for sure.

What does mayan plum fcer do vs flank scouts, that you do with fc conq too.
Conq is much more powerful than plum, faster kills vils fast from range. Get the build order right, and put the castle asap. You can actually go with barracks to make 1-2 spear too, even if slower than otherwise.
I'm not 100% sure but I don't think Mayans have knights. They also have a much stronger eco, and would be buildiing much cheaper units meaning they can still fast imp while going plums while still having a superior economy.

spanish conqs= too much res so imp is very delayed if u r full castle, and even reaching imp, cavs and pala researchs r very slow.

For pocket kt>ca >plum>conq. why? cuz flank uaually go ranged units and kts+archers are very good combo.
Second, kts dont need much research to be strong in early castle, which means you can have 3 TC boom fast.
Just watch recs and you find out most pocket do kts!
actually huns pkt making cas is much more powerful than kths cus u can start with 3 archerysand above min 24 add another 3 archerys lol and kill pkt so easy, conqs cant fight vs massive ca´s with balistic.
but this topic was about kth or conq and it is easy if both enemy´s sides are doing archs then go kths...conqs are good but they can lose vs xbows..while kths provides better eco and boom.
