Did the usual AI poor (or none existent) micro in a battle ever bother you?
While you wait for the next Red Bull Wololo V stream, you may want to take a minute and check out this display of 12 Ethiopian Siege Onager microd by an AI script of the scripter TheMaximalBeing.
If I counted correctly they take on a fight against 12 chevalier, 10 battle elephants, 40 champion, 60 arbalester and 10 rams in an open field.
TheMaximalBeing has played around with various AI micro over time, but hasn't created a complete AI for now.
Check out also his archer micro video, which I think, inspired other scripters to work on archer micro as well.
I believe before that, Barbarian got implemented archer micro first, but I think it is not quite as sophisticated (too sad TheMax hasn't updated it for DE yet).
Check out his Youtube channel for more videos.
Note, the haystacks are for debugging purpose and I think visualize AI target coordinates.
Userpatch 1.5 introduced DUC (Direct Unit Control), which makes this possible and is also available in DE.
TheMaximalBeing did run this on Userpatch, since till now, it's more reliable/stable for AIs than DE.
Still from what I'm aware off, DE improved in reliability.
(I just forward this to aoezone, since I find this quite impressive)
