I was thinking about the quick match> It works even in team games. In CSGO they follow the rating system of chess with elo points and unless people smurf most of the times they are fair games in quick matches.
If the only aspect is to play for fun then what is the point of joining a tourney? You can have much more fun playing team games with friends on a casual basis. The fun part doesn't make sense to me w.r.t to a tourney.
I think the surprising thing is that although info about the tourney has been posted on team liquid and other gaming sites, no new teams have registered for the tourney.
There is an inertia built into the system with strats and gameplays developed and mastered over the ages. No matter how balanced you make the game, people would continue to play the older patches unless there is a strong force to push them on to the new platform like a big tourney (I mean huge)...
6 gmt is already 2 am for me. if games go on atleast 1.5 hrs ill be fast asleep. 4 gmt for start please... if not 5 is the latest we can start. cant you do it sunday ? as it is independence day here is us and we are in party mode.
hey! we are -5 and -8 gmt. sunday should be good i will confirm with my team mate. Those times are pretty unlealistic for us especially on week ends. I think we can play sunday 2-5 gmt.
