I genuinely mean this in the nicest way possible: It's okay to admit when your wrong about something, you should just own it, there's no need to spin it.
Anyway, games are a form of art, and art can have many reasons for existence (not just pure entertainment). That said, I don't think Age...
Did you hear that the show writers were hired by Netflix recently? And are also writing something for Disney? You would think those companies would think twice.
@RicoJay13 If you really want to be taken seriously, then try and convince some top level players to try out a showmatch using the scenario. I doubt it would take that much convincing especially if you put up a prize pool. I'm sure some caster will pick up the games to cast.
If it's really...
@snapesnaps It's because most pro's play aoe2 competitively for reasons like fun, prestige, etc...Not many pro's are using aoe2 as their source of income.
In any competition being 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc... matters a lot (personally). We view Secret or aM a certain way because of what ranking they...
Juicy drama. Will translate into much viewers. For some reason Aoe2 events always are littered with drama...
On a more serious note, Escape decision is pretty unfair for the teams. However, will probably be fun to watch as a casual viewer so I expect this to die down soon...
@snapesnaps Pretty...
Thanks for all the feedback.
I definitely think what you guys are saying makes sense. Initially, the idea came to me as a sort of "fun" event. And I suppose it's not really suited to a long tournament, unless the balancing became just *that* good/reliable.
I hope there is still a feasible way...
What you guys are saying does make a lot of sense actually. Having a scaling handicap would be a lot more fair.
Honestly, I genuinely think this would be something casual players/viewers would enjoy watching a lot more. The poll results probably wouldn't reflect that as I believe aoezone isn't...
Had this thought about a possibly new tourney idea, where players could play versus much higher/lower elo players if there was a fair handicap (in order to equal out the playing field).
Essentially roughly the way it would work:
1800 elo vs 2k5 elo
1800 elo would start with x amount extra...
What if @kw1k000000 is just zac's alt, used to stir up some controversy? No normal person would care enough to post so much negativity right? As they say, all publicity is good publicity.
Are there any stats on the size of the aoe2 community? Such as players on Voobly, HD, etc...As well as stats on average numbers of people watching streamers/youtube videos?
It's unfortunate you're still banned from streaming KotD2. However, I do understand the reasoning for that, since a streamer in a professional tournament should strive to be impartial.
But, the voobly ban was still nonsensical. Honestly, seems a bit ridiculous that voobly's argument is more or...
