I haven't seen many experts throwing up walls to avoid raids, so I was wondering if just keeping pressure on the opponent combined with good building placement is sufficient and walls are there just to fill the gaps. :?:
Hey, y'all!
I'm looking into getting back in shape this year - committed and serious- would anyone have a good 3 month plan or sth to follow? Both get-shredded + also gain muscle goals.
Basically a diet or/and an exercise plan.
Thought I'd get serious this year and actually stick to whatever...
I used to think that this is a very useful tech and look down upon civs with CA that didn't have PT.
Halbs obliterate CA if for whatever reason they manage to close the gap.
But now I am not so sure it makes a significant difference.
I wanted your thoughts on this.
Thanks!
Seriously.
I find that a line of castles/towers can do the trick but more often than not it's more convenient to just use all that stone to build an (upgraded) wall from end-to-end, 'specially when w/ a Maya or Chinese ally!
Usually CA or EEW or Hussars don't come with petards or any kind of...
I have stopped using it long ago - when I have to use it I basically realize the game is over.
But would you ever justify using it at a high level of play?
Or is it just for "bad" players? :?:
Since everyone seems to be bitchin' 'bout 'em stone walls being OP, thought what if petards were available from the Feudal age?
...
...
could toy 'round with their creation time/cost/building required etc. etc. to balance it.
Same could be said 'bout Siege Workshop being available from Feudal...
I just wanted to know your opinion if a guy left with food/wood stands a chance vs an opponent that has secured gold piles.
Given that trash is decent (not Turk, God forbid  ), would extensive wood-cutting+farming/fishing be able to fill the gap?
PS. Equal lvl players, 1vs1.
Ok, so this guy is a no-show the entire game, walling+booming.
Shows up with hc+bc+eles+some monks and is pushing.
We spam whatever **** you can think of but the eles are unstoppable.
hc destroy all halbs/pikes we send vs the eles
bc aim at monks when not destroying buildings. His monks keep the...
When I watch a rec I played with friends, on the computer I was on, the speed playback is excellent.
When I try watching the POV of another player of that game, the playback doesn't keep up with his POV.
If I want to watch how he played, I have to switch ''lock view'' off.
Is this normal, or is...
Like Carlos Ferdinand did with Goths.
Say I like... japs, for instance, and I wanna play ONLY japs, AND reach 2k+ status.
I think that despite balance efforts, some civs are just too bad, for a player to reach 2k+.
Turks, for instance. Or Span, never picked in 1vs1 'cause of poor archers.
What...
Sounds like a very interesting civ!
But imo the bonuses are OP. Especially the ''cost -40% wood'' bit.
Also, the worst trash in the game... dunno. Maybe TOO bad.
But I really liked a lot of your ideas, very original!
And I'm not taking a trush under consideration, since a game mostly always reaches castle (if not imp)
so an exception doesn't change the rule.
Does any1 beg to differ?
Does any1 use Jap or Brit UT bonus to pop towers?!
Does even Korean pop any tower other than BBTs?
And would any1 know of a...
