A shame the version on AoCZone has stopped working at a point I've been trying to gleam some understandings.
Either way, I want this topic on underrated and unappreciated mods and civ crafters to keep going.
If Realms could get a tournament going, Vardamir could get a semblance of Metagame for it and build some balance for it. If only we could generate some experts to play it... hint hint?

I know that I'm a bit hypocritical for judging the bonuses here, because of this list: http://www.aoczone.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=72799 but many of them are weak, uninspired or just inferior versions of other civs.

There's something about a civ called Africans I find a little unsettling, namely that Africa is full of many different settlements.
Anyways, if I ever have time, I'll take my long list of civs and see if I can make anything of them. In the mean time, I was wondering... just a little game where...
... I... but... I know that! My point still is that people take a name more importantly than what gameplay and technology tree combos a new civ could add. It limits potential.
Personally, it shouldn't only be about big history names, but civs that could be fun or unique.
Here's an example: Wallachians - We have Slavs, we have Magyars... and while one could claim they represent Romania, both lack gunpowder and powerful castles makes the Vlad campaign feel very odd...
Of the list, roughly 25% of them are African, but that's only true if you include Vandals as African (though their building set is that of the Mediterranean/Italians because Carthage where they settled was an Italian Port City.

Can you believe it? I'm actually gonna try and mod this myself... I don't see this ending well for me.
So what would it take to make the community rally once more and forge a new expansion? Lord knows I've been trying to pawn off most of my ideas for eons to whoever may come and not much has formed... well, something has from my Portuguese and I liked it, but the scale I'm speaking of is one akin...
