Wait and what if Gajah is MbL and Otto Viper???
Quick thing: I don't think looking at map draft of decider of qualifier is really relevant as all maps were played. Less relevant anyway.I agree a lot with Daisy's phisolophy on guessing. Tunnelvision is major. If you strongly believe one player is this hero, anytime said hero will do ANYTHING you will get confirmation bias heaaaavily. That is why we all need to stay umble and study cold facts.
Because civ draft happens after map draft, and heavily depends on said picked maps; leading to uncanny civ picks compared to a player's style of prefferences: I believe a very safe approach is to compare map picks with a higher importance. Also, players had allegedly no idea who they were facing round1, so they couldn't ban or pick maps according to opponent, only to their own strenghts. Unless said opponent picks arena-like map first pick, then you might think oh **** this is gangi, better draft only open maps.
Map data found while reviewing Sitaux & Heartts qualis game, and Jadwiga's & Jan Zizka's map drafst :
- QUARRY : Jadwiga banned Quarry first map, Zizka banned it last. Heart banned Quarry against Vivi but picked it against Tatoh & lost. Sitaux picked Quarry vs Classicpro & won.
- GOLD RUSH Jadwiga banned gold rush 2nd map, Zizka's opponent banned it first map. Hearttt picked it against Tatoh. Sitaux banned it against Lyx, picked it against Classicpro.
- MUDFLOW : hard to say because opponents picked it always against both in qualis.
- SLOPES : Sitaux banned slopes against Classicpro. Hearttt let it be last map twice. Not enough data.
Conclusion : Sitaux and Heartt have very similar map drafts. The only difference I found was about Slopes & Quarry, but there is clearly not enough data. What I find is that this is highly inconclusive to separate Sitaux, Heartt, Jadwiga & Jan Zizka. Zizka will pick Islands, Cross, Bay, and ban closed maps again. If Zizka knew who his oponent Alexios is by round 2, he might adapt. Alexios banned Quarry & Mudflow, so maybe Zizka will aim for those because either Heartt or Sitaux likes these maps. Actually, Sitaux picked Quarry in qualis while Heartt banned it. It could be interesting.
-> it's also quite tough for guessing that all maps were not available in qualis, and that some players did not go through qualis. no data on these.

I wonder if the maps they chose to play on after losing their first game would be more relevant than the draft itself for those Bo7s, but even that I imagine varies depending on the personality of the player and the civ draft.don't think looking at map draft of decider of qualifier is really relevant as all maps were played. Less relevant anyway.
Yeah that was my bad, Capoch said it and then Nicov did an amazed face at the gg which I interpreted wrongly. Also, ildim, you came here and said Nicov believed that Gregory could have fought on in his Evacuation game. He’s since come in here and agreed with everyone that Gregory was, in fact, completely dead. So yeah.

Wow I think I just remembered this one! Was that the game where ACCM researched Atheism and it actually ended up mattering? Now that the primary theory is ACCM for Gajah, I think back to ACCM holding against Tatoh in the Middle East tournament as Huns vs. Burgundians and realise that he is capable of the feat we saw on day 2.
you kidding right? at least 4 posts saying there was no comeback from the argument of tato and daut sharing draft.
Ok got it, newcomer says it = bold claim
Now everybody is saying it as it's quite obvious 2 days later = actual proofs, I'll have to reconsider not to lose credibility and keep being a smartass with everybody else while saying I stay umble .
It's ok, just got a little annoyed with how you treat new users and had to answer, not really looking for an argument here, I'll rather just say "Gj daisy you are the Sherlock Holmes of AoeZ, haven't seen anybody as smart as you for a long time, maybe try applying for national intelligence departments or smthng like that"
I play AOE sometimes
This coming from Mr. Stay Umble, Kappaand play at around 1600-1700 level
Yeah this (i.e. very very similar civ and map drafts) was the main evidence put forward for ACCM beating Tatoh in round 1. This round seems to reinforce it.oh wait, no, Gregory did the strat!!!!
So gregory = TaToH?!?!

The consensus here seems to be Vinchester the Grim.Where's Vinch?
I dunno, not sure about those civ picks. Not many options left though. The consensus here seems to be Vinchester the Grim.
