I just unfollowed all aoe4 streamers :D
Are you intentionally misunderstanding? It is obviously meant as loyalty to the hundreds of people who supported the streams for playing Aoe2
The biggest Aoe2 streamers were never tired of repeating something like "Thanks so much to you guys, without your support i couldnt play my favorite game all day for a living."
Then these same streamers just abandon that game from one day to the other which kind of naturally puts the message as "See ya, idi.ots, thanks for all the cash you put into this stream. I bought a nice car and a house with it and now i play a different game you don´t like at all but i dont give a sh.it about you anyways"
I don't do that, then I can't know which ones I should avoid, better to see them on left frame with AOE4 tag under their names.I just unfollowed all aoe4 streamers :D
They bought 2 streamers with %85 of viewers.Problem with the FB situation is that they only bought 2 streamers. Our community is still, by and large, on Twitch. FB should have bought the rights to AoE2 streaming if that's even a thing.
That's where we divide, I believe AOE4's doom will also vacuum AOE2, we will probably return 2010-15 era. But i can understand other opinions, this is just my view.So chill out guys. No need to declare AoE2's doom.
Then they should not promote loyalty and remove all those 2-years/1 year/6 months sub badges. Dude are you literally think people are *****? You have a out of the box feature inside Twitch application which can be activated by money and represents only and only loyalty. Here's the problem with this line of thinking, in my opinion.
Does that loyalty thing go both ways?
Will you be loyal to that one AoE2 streamer (meaning you will never ever stop subbing) for as long as he streams AoE2? Even if that means subbing for the next 40 years or until whenever he decides to retire?
We both know the answer is no, which is why you can't expect the streamer to have this kind of loyalty to you (not talking about *you* specifically) if you as a viewer are not ready to do the same.
We need to remember these guys are professionals, they do this for living.
Streaming is an incredibly volatile business at the moment...
These guys will do whatever is best for them financially just like every single one of us would do in our jobs.
But I know nothing is black and white here, it's a complicated subject...

Yeah except their viewers went from 5000 to 500 so 90% of those 85% evaporated. My point was that if I had no choice to go anywhere else for my AoE2 content, I guess I would begrudgingly go over to FB.They bought 2 streamers with %85 of viewers.
He was only able to last 50 minutes, no worries.
Are those badges actually about loyalty anywhere? I thought it was just more the equivalent of an award or “bragging rights.”Then they should not promote loyalty and remove all those 2-years/1 year/6 months sub badges. I just don't understand how you see the world, you seem to me to be kind of a robot and i'm telling this without a purpose to offend, it's just like you see everything according every word, like it's white or black, and it never is in actual world. For donating, I don’t know if people expect any kind loyalty anywhere for donating, because I’d hope not. That would break the very definition of the word. Donating is the act of giving something without expecting anything in return.
why not? people are getting boredReading this thread really makes you think how insufferable some of the people here are in real life. You know what I did when Hera started streaming only aoe4? I unsubbed. I didn't come here to make the same comment worded in 10 different ways to keep this thread going about how hurt I am because my favorite streamer (to whom I don't even contribute in any way) isn't doing what I want.
AoEZone: why are people posting on AoEZone?why not? people are getting bored
Let there be ... drama!
Not sure if you know, but aoe2 DE servers are exact same servers that aoe4 is using, at least as far as I know.I'll start to be worried for the Age of Empires II franchise if AoE2:HD (yes, you read me well, HD Edition) servers shut down.
Because if they close that, it means they'd be okay to close DE servers later on.
For now I don't give a **** about Age IV allegedly stepping on II's toes.
IV is pretty harmless, it's a very good game, but it doesn't replace II which is in almost every top 100 best games of all time list. On an other level, like Memb would say.
I sub (the free amazon sub)Dave twitch channel because he is my friend, and he plays my maps occasionally. I have played this game for 20 years. I have never watched a tournament. When you watch, you pay with adverts.
