I was just thinking about Teutons, them being fun civ but greatly flawed. Any ranged unit with bit better movement and you feel like fighting uphill battle. +1/+1 melee attack bonus feels kinda redundant.
and they removed the identity of Incas and Koreans. It's their identity. Slow, hard-hitting push. It'd be like giving Turks eskirm, it's part of the civ's character.
Koreans haven't had an identity for a long time. The 33% faster building stone structures was not in the original game (and was a pretty stupid addition mind you). The only part of their "true identity" that was removed was the +1 range mangonels.and they removed the identity of Incas and Koreans.
I like this idea. I feel that we need a civ that can mass scorpions quickly at a lower price (even at suboptimal performance), e.g. free upgrade to heavy scorpions once they reach the Imperial age.Make mass scorps a viable option. Decrease Heavy Scorpion upgrade cost, increase Heavy Scorpion pierce armor from 7 to 8 and reduce the unit's hitbox size from 0.5 to 0.4 to make them less clunky and easier to maneuver. Teutons have good siege, but there is no early imp power spike with scorps like there is with arbs because Heavy Scorpion and Siege Engineers are way too expensive. You often see people making eskirms even without Bracer just coz they have no other anti-archer options that don't cost 4000 resources to upgrade.
indeed. Let's see what civs could do without husbandry. I'd say Bohemians & Poles (to keep the theme of northern-central europe civs not having husbandry), Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, Italians, Ethiopians, Khmer (but give back the elephant speed bonus), BritonsUnpopular opinion: there should be more civs lacking Husbandry.
Barring meso civs, I don't see why only Teutons and Vikings should carry that burden alone
Also Vietnamese couldn't research Husbandry before Definitive Edition:indeed. Let's see what civs could do without husbandry. I'd just decrease the hscorp upgrade cost across the board, for every civ. "Heavy Scorpion upgrade free" would be a sick bonus, though.I like this idea. Remember that Koreans were added 3 weeks before the release of AoC at the behest of some Microsoft executive who thought they would make the game more appealing in the South Korean marketKoreans haven't had an identity for a long time. I still think the Burmese should have never been added and they should have just given free wood upgrades to the Koreans and not bothered with the wood unit discount or free archer armor techsRemember that Koreans were added 3 weeks before the release of AoC at the behest of some Microsoft executive who thought they would make the game more appealing in the South Korean market

Don't butcher Burmese please.it's still not too late though.
we can swap this bonus to Koreans and give a new bonus to Burmese
This but with minimally 10-12 more civs added to the list.I still think the Burmese should have never been added and they should have just given free wood upgrades to the Koreans and not bothered with the wood unit discount or free archer armor techs
The Franks and Lithuanians should lack husbandry. Their heavy cav is so powerful that some drawback should exist to balance it out.
Probably not Japanese. Historic Japanese generals and the samurai class are often elite horse archers. Archery and horse-riding were two of the core techniques for a general or samurai to master; which is probably why Japanese is one of the 8 civs to have FU CAs or CA-specific bonuses.indeed.
