Interesting that we see tower rush in most matches but no one ever picked Korean.

I think a lot of people have a lot of hope invested in Lierey due to his age, talent and how fast he rose to the top, but I’m not sure I see the same type of passion and commitment for the game from him as I did from Viper/Jordan when they were revolutionizing how the game was played 4-5 years ago. That makes me think he may never quite surpass the Viper or raise the bar for competitive AoC like Viper/Jordan did. It’s incredibly impressive that he can play relatively infrequently and still be a top-2 player in the game but what about trying to take the game to the next level entirely? It’s a lot to ask; but I hope he finds the inner drive and motivation to do it.
One day Viper will get the gout in his hands and then others can shine.
This might be the best/easiest time (ever?) for someone to really dive into AOE and become a full-time pro (for a couple of years). A
Sorry but the harsh reality is that the AOE2 scene is very far from being financially viable for most of the pros/streamers. Liereyy is making the correct choice.
I agree. Apparently watching alone is enough to affect some people in a bad way.Regardless if its worth or not (according to money), making a living out of AOE or another videogame makes u stuck mentally. Its never a good choice for a human being.
I definitely think the gameplay in the finals was higher last year. Last year Lierey seemed unlucky not to win the set, this year he seemed lucky to win 3 games.

i will make soon a big post about my thoughts about KOTD2 and few things related to the tournament and to the community but about the time you need to be pro or to dedicate to your personall life....
I dont like to take myself like an example but when i was in the university, i had always 1 job to pay my studies, and sometimes a 2nd job, now im 41 years old, with 2 kids, i take care of them, many things at home, and in january i streamed live 291 hours on twitch, what i mean is, if you want to be a PRO and study, im sorry to say but you only need dedication, there is time to do both things, even more when you are already a super strong pro player like liereyy is, if he is not that motivated that another thing, but if the gaming hours he expend he just use for AoE2 then he has time to be PRO and study, im sure.
But im also sure he expend time in other games or whatever he want when he is not studying, so is not only about the time you need or you have, is about what you want expend that time, and that probably same case for many people, i dont know, im older, other generation, but i always thought that if you organize ur time you can do alot things, and i still think that.
Don't think his goal is to a casterI dont like to take myself like an example but when i was in the university, i had always 1 job to pay my studies, and sometimes a 2nd job, now im 41 years old, with 2 kids, i take care of them, many things at home, and in january i streamed live 291 hours on twitch, what i mean is, if you want to be a PRO and study, im sorry to say but you only need dedication, there is time to do both things, even more when you are already a super strong pro player like liereyy is, if he is not that motivated that another thing, but if the gaming hours he expend he just use for AoE2 then he has time to be PRO and study, im sure.
I think Mbl is maybe the only one rly trying hard and playing a lot and I hope he will surpass everyone and be no1 in aoc like Jordan and viper did, he deserves itBut the truth is nothing we say is going to impact that either way.... the type of effort/motivation we wish to see from the top players can only come from within. No one pestered Viper and Jordan into playing all the hours they did in their early 20s... they were self-motivated to improve and push the game to another level.
