As a Mongol player, I try to spam EMangudais and not use HCAs if I can combined with onagers and Rams, Optionally adding Hussars, Cavaliers or camels depending the enemy's army. But basically I tend to build at least 6 castles to spam properly mangudais. Well, the main think is that the trickiest games for me always been against full gunpoder civs. Against the other civs the game is already owned if I can spam mangudais properly and giving them siege enough to bury skirmishers, even against britons whose I send rams as baits, but against players who rely in gunpowder everywhere the thing goes tricky. Against byzantines I don't have much problem due the lack of attack of units, Cats can't reach the fire screen given by mangudais + SOs, but against teutons who have onagers + FU paladins + BC + BT can be a lot hard to stop. My usual combo to reach 'em is still mangudais + onagers + camels and when enemy stopped the paladin production change to hussars and the ram bomb to bury BT and castles. Any other combo can be useful for mongols to fight gunpowder civs?
