1. Camels are useless. Spearmen line destroys them due to the added +2 attack bonus vs Camels on Spearmen line.
2. Spearmen Line only beat Paladins if they outnumber them. The ratio in AOC was 3 Halbs vs 1 Paladin. The training time for Spearmen line is not 3x faster than the training time of Paladins (ie to get 3x as many Halbs as Paladins). So in effect when it comes down to spam wars, Halbs lose.
3. Multiplayer AI does not respond to ally being attacked. I played a few games 3v3 with me and 5 comps. I had a 1v1 match and the rest of the comps didn't assist or do any fighting.
4. AI Army composition for DM games seems a little weird. My Saracen ally was making hussars? WTF?
5. Huns can not be countered in DM games. They can make Cavalry Archers, Paladins and a Few Halbs. Nothing can beat that combo when rushing. Camels no longer counter Paladins in the presence of Halbs, they are weak to Cavalry Archers. The Hun reach pop limit much faster than any other civ in DM. In RM the wood saved from housing is the biggest bonus for Huns, but in DM the lack of housing altogether means they just reach pop 200 as quickly as they can train units. Was a problem in AOC too, but now Camels are useless counter.
6. None of the new Civs have end game units ie for DM or long RM games like MICHI.
7. Byzantine Cataphract seem affected by Spearmen line bonus vs Camels and no longer act as anti infantry horses. The idea was that they shared resistance to Cavalry and Spearmen line, Also their trample damage no long does bonus dmg vs Spearmen line. Spearmen Line has overpowered bonus vs Cataphracts (2 pikes per Cataphract)
8. Camels should get a higher base attack vs Cavalry, Cavalry Archers and have more Armor vs Infantry.
9. New Civ Slavs should have the Vladamir The Impaler tech, with +1 Halbs Attack. Also their skirms should have +1 Range or attack vs hand cannons.
