DM should be included but CBA is like DoTA (I never actually played it and I'm just guessing so don't take my post too seriously ops: ), it has its own leagues, clans, etc because because it is a "Custom Scenario". I don't think regular WC tournaments require that DoTA be one of the maps (I'm just guessing again, so I could be wrong :D )
bottom line, each rec game of the finals will have around 1500+ views, except for the CS match (hypothetically) which would have around 500 or less
yes CS is fun, but its very simplistic and requires for the most part less micro, almost no macro, and much less strategy than RM. people just dont want to watch it
but i actually do like the idea of the Europe map. isnt that like the old school "world map" ?
can pretty much guarantee that the views of RM games going up would barely be noticeable. but lets get passed the views argument because i think its easy to understand that not many would want to watch a cs matchHypothetically CSers might take an interest in watching the games if there is a CS HM, which would increase the views of all games played (of course this wouldn't happen).
an rmer that plays one map is known as a "1map rook" haha. basically the only different skill sets you need is A) land B) water. everything else is a variation from this. CS are just different situations of army control.. and yes i've played all scens for many years during zone days extensively. It's unfair to label CS as simplistic without understanding the way the community works and what defines a good player of the field. An Rmer can be defined as a great player because they excel at one map type only (Arabia, LN, Arena, even one civ like Huns...) whereas in CS you aren't considered great unless you master a large variety of maps and can perform in the given maps at any time.
"extreme micro" = dragging units away and blah blah and "amazing reactions" = just normal reactions lol. i've seen all the best CS'ers playing and they arent anything special sorry. watch riut/tim ( or old games of IORI) playing 1v1 and there is no scen player even remotely close to their APM + micro abilities.Sure, the maps look easier to play, easier to learn and easier to understand, but that is a common misconception. The top players are of a standard like Jidba in Dm, or Daut/Tim/Riut/Chris in Rm. They use extreme micro and have amazing reaction speeds when something goes wrong (all at fast game speed). It's just a shame that people from other communities refuse to acknowledge or understand this.
leave it as WCL and only include RM settings
