The problem with stream delay is that it makes it much much harder for the streamers; having the spectator delay means than one person can do the stream quite easily on their own. This involves playing ads and responding to chat messages as well as streaming the content.
When there is a stream delay it means that the streamers is unable to start the ads or watch the chat in real time which can be a big problem if there is an issue with the stream as the streamer won't actually know there is an issue until much later.
Overall having the stream delay < spectator delay. If it means the players have to wait a few minutes between games then that's a lot better than having a completely messed up stream.

+1, full ack here.
The players have the chance of winning serious money here. If they don't have the time to play according to the rules or want to speed things up in a way they prefer, they should just stick to 1v1 rated. In major games like LoL and its tournaments, there are sometimes mandatory breaks of 15(!) mins between games. Stream delay is a pain for streamers and viewers, making interaction with sometimes 700+ viewers impossible and running ads really hard. I think some players should think about their diva attitude twice, if they still want to see tournaments growing bigger in the future.
We can't blame the players here at all. The streamer is supposed to not affect the game in any way unless they approve of it, and the streamer has to use a stream delay in case the players doesn't want to wait after each game.
Of course a spectator delay is the better if possible, as that makes it much easier for the streamer, but the streamer should always adapt to the players ''needs''. A combination of 2-3 minutes stream delay, and 2-3 min spectator delay might be a good option.
#13 By signing up for the tournament you agree to have all your games streamed and casted by the official streaming team of the Clash of the Titans through using the Spectator Mode on Voobly, brought by the Userpatch 1.4 version. The streams will always have a delay to avoid cheating, and no other persons are allowed to spectate your game besides the official streamers, or if persons are granted permission by the tournament Administration for a valid reason. There is no assurance of your games being streamed, but the possibility is there at all times.
