Hera to stop streaming AoE2/4, decides to focus on League of Legends

Being pro:
Hera's only chance at being a pro is in AoE2 because he has so much experience in that game. AoE4 will take too much grind to get to that same level and same with LOL except that the competition in LOL is 1000 x more intense. There are so many players in LOL.

He already won an S tier aoe4 tournament.

He can definitely be a top4 (or at least top8) aoe4 player if he's really interested in the game. Seems like he doesn't have the motivation for aoe4 anymore.

Its ok that you don't have the motivation... Like when he switched from aoe2 to aoe4, he created drama.

I mean he is young but his behavior is like a high school kid or even worse.
Always do unnecessary trash-talk. He has already announced he would not stream aoe4, then he joined the aoe4 tourney and lost, now hes whining again... so salty man.

I agree. I hope Hera proves everyone wrong and becomes a top LoL player. Even so, celebrating negativity is nothing a real man would do. The same people that doubted Hera in AOE4 said nothing when he won AOE4 tourney. Most of the time, there is something lacking in their life and thus they take pride in others "failure".

Do I miss Hera in AOE2? ABSOLUTELY.

Do I want Hera to succeed in LoL? Indubitably.

If anything, this will increase the AoE2 community if he succeeds.

Plebs here thinking they love aoe2 more than a person who probably has some of the highest hours in-game in the world.

this is a rather unpopular take and of course none of my business, but I think it seems it's a nice time for Hera to reconsider the full time streamer thing over going back to uni or something. This circle of making bold statements about a game and leaving it to come back in such short time intervals would make me think how much I enjoy what I am doing. He is the one who knows in the end of course and I hope he will find his way, whichever way it is.

He won something there? First time I hear about it. How much did he win? Also is interesting how fast it went from"aoe4 has huge potential" to "i hate playing aoe4". Didn't look last week how he was doing, although last time I checked his numbers were dropping very rapidly after he switched to LoL.

And I have not much against hera, except he keeps acting like 15 year old sometimes, although I enjoyed his stream, I feel he was communicating a lot with chat and was quite entertaining due he was doing some dumb strats and still winning.

But in LoL is very different, he reached diamond(not like it's super easy, still bit above me), but there are 10837120370911 streamers who are higher ranked. And he is quite good streamer, especially if we are talking about aoe2 due there is not as much competition, but in LoL he is just average dude streaming, especially without his abbility to do dumb strats and get away with it as he could do it in aoe2.

So again, for me it just feels he kind of lost most charm what he had in aoe2 streams which I liked, many good tips and unique dumb strats.

I don't think hera was lying when he said he hated aoe4 or that it was a cheap excuse for losing, after winning his thingy in aoe4 he totally stopped playing aoe4 instead of enjoying being the best player of that week, he committed hardly to get his aoe4 achievement on his aoe career, he even refused the invitation to the n4c, so i am sure he was lying about enjoying aoe4 and the potential he just got stubborn to get gud on it cause the viper was good at it and he can't stay behind the snake, if you see the things like that then hera's behavior make a lot more of sense, playing lol was a good distraction from all the suffering playing something he never liked but now he needs to secure his streaming career so going back to aoe2 is the only choice after his brief experience on lol.

Seriously man Hera said the plan was to stream LoL for daily content while still practicing AoE2 for tournament play. He streamed LoL today and has not said anything on Twitter about giving the game up so it seems like nothing has changed.

Well I have no idea how many people get banned and what exactly for, but average viewers going down too, like all stats show exact same, so your statement doesn't seem valid.
I stated few reasons above why he prolly wonn't be as successful in LoL stream, although not looking
into my opinion it totally makes sense numbers going down now. Even after he switched to aoe4 many including me unfollowed him. But decent amout of ppl liked aoe4 or at least watched some. But those games are similar/same genre. Now he moved to totally different genre, so at least for me totally makes sense people unfollow him. Also aoe4 was new and didn't have established streamers, league has that.

I dont see any chance hera can achieve anything in LOL as he did in aoe2. First he is gifted to aoe, he can beat anyone in the scene if he want, but in LOL, he hasent even hit master yet, and in my Country which is China, there are million of ppl at his level in lol, even if you are master, still a huge gape between high ranked players and pro players. Secondly LOL is a team game,i dont think any pro team would pick him up even he play veryvery great, cuz he is to old to join the scene, there are so many geniuses in this game are playing better than him and younger than him. So i dont see why he try a game that he would never achieve anything. And tbh, i dont think he got all the S-champion in aoe2 yet, what about go back and get em all then said something like im tired of it or i wnna chanllange something new?

Hera is a very competitive guy who likes being, or at least trying, to rival with the best. He has certainly achieved this in AoE 2 and for a brief time in AoE 4 (the meta changes so fast he is now probably a bit behind the very best but could probably catch up quickly if he wanted to). That being said, his main income is streaming, not tournament prize money.

At the moment the allure and excitement of the grind means he has more fun playing and streaming LoL than other games - and that is healthier long term for his own stream.

I don't think he expects to ever reach the same level in LoL as he had in Age of Empires II - but he also does not need to.

His stream "size" will definitely suffer from the switch, as he goes from being a big fish in small pond to being a little fish in a massive pond... but then again, there are more important things than money - and he's very young anyway.
