Hello everyone, we are happy to announce one of the most ambitious events ever held by us, the DWG League, with eight divisions of 20 players each, from 1000 to 1800 ELO (if there is enough interest, we will open more divisions)

We are also announcing a new game mod, a Random match game mod with a little boost. That brings a more exciting dark age without breaking the existing meta or build orders.

This event is the beta version of what is coming for summertime, so hopefully, we can deliver this time and keep going through the year.

Match settings:
A series of 3 games, all 3 games have to be played and each victory gives you one point.
The maps for each series will be pre-determinate by the organization.
700 years time limit.

Deadlines:
Round 1: 1st of March to 31st 7 games to be played. Day 1 to 7.
Round 2: 1st of April to 30th April, 6 games to be played. Day 8 to 13.
Round 3: 1st of May to 23rd of May 5 games to be played. Day 14 to 18.
Final round: 23rd of May to 30th of May 1 game. Day 19.

Prize money per division.
1st place: $40
2nd place: $20
3rd place: $15

Streaming:
We from deep waters gaming will be streaming in English and Spanish on our channels. 5/6 days a week, and we will cast at least each participant once.
Players can stream the Point Of View, apart from the last day.

It is a Random match, but we have fast-forward the game to the minute 2:38 or thereabouts, simulating the resources, map explored etc.. We got rid of the very being.

I still don't understand. Is it a completely different game mode and Empire Wars is just a misnaming? What are the starting resources/buildings? For example, if I need to find 4 sheep and 2 boars just like in RM, then "simulating map explored" can have wildly different outcomes depending on how it's done. There's a lot of details that I don't see explained anywhere.

Hi Xellos we have created a video where you can find all your answers. It is a random map game mode, just imagine you start the random match in the minute 2:38, You will have the resources, builds, and some map explored.

This not an Empires wars, but we will to select that game mode on the game settings to make the map work.

Yes, the civilisations with bonuses at the start of the game lose a bit, but on the other hand, you have a perfect start and you know that laming is nearly impossible, will see what mbl o biri can do. I think our mod is the way to go, just my personal opinion.

Hi, thanks for the organization. How do you determine which division a player belongs to? Personally, my rating is changing very much depending on my activity.

Hello, as you know, we are taking the highest rating and not the current one because, as you said, it depends on your activity. If you are committed to playing the league, you will have continuity, and you will bring back your best skills to compete. If you were 1400 two months ago, but now you are 1298, we will assign you to the 1400 league; we believe it's the fairest way to do it. The idea is competition and improvement. Players can request to move up or down. We will check when the player got to the highest rating, for how long and the average rating.

Deep Waters Gaming is about to bring tools to raise the bar and get the game in a better position than it is right now, and I think a league is the best way to improve.

This League values not only excellent skills but also sportsmanship and fairness. Any insult, racism, or flaming will not be tolerated."

that is interesting coming from you, who writes me things in-game that game decides to turn into hashtags and then "eres basura pura"... i dont speak that language but i wonder if it would fall under "any insult" category

Why do you require having ladder games played weekly? I think I'm far from the only one in the lower ranks who does not play weekly. I play a dozen games, stop playing for a few weeks while I play other games, then come back, and so on. Is there any specific reason?

The reason for having strict rules to avoid smurf accounts, we have lots of divisions and we have to make sure is fair for all the players. As always with the rules, some players find them good or bad, but these are the ones we have chosen and we have to stick to them. We are open to any feedback or suggestion and will check each individual case if needed. If you and any question please send me a message.
