Similar to playing AOM online if I remember correctly. You picked civ before searching an opponent. Not knowing what civ your opponent chose until the game already had started.

suggestion for a new tech available for all civs: castle units created 20% faster. we would all love to see the more UU´s, don´t we?

Ever considered having stone walls available from castle age preventing your opponent to build walls which are impossible to take down in the feudal age? The new palisade wall upgrade could sort of replace stone walls in feudal?

Interesting.. the new berserk doesnt sound OP though, considering its a castle unit. Hard to mass.

Another thought on the viking pikemen.
Lately I have been looking for information about viking warfare and got inspired by something from this article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/ancient/vi ... s_01.shtml.

If you dont want vikings to get halbs could you allow the chieftains tech also to affect viking pikemen by giving them a slight boost against cavalry. The viking pikemen could have the same stats as before, except stronger anti-cav bonus to kill those...

How about adding cavalry skirmisher? Good counter to the cavalry archers, which can keep up with their speed. Very low attack to other units and weak to cavalry. Those foot skirmishers are already good against cav archers, but are very less mobile.
