Yes and i like it. I just makes sense aswell from risk reward standpoint and makes it better to fight against pushes from a hill which would be very hard otherwise.

Its a bit better in my opinion because Goldrush isnt a yolo map and is structured. So only 3 yolo maps and one water map this time :(
Yeah this a thing i generally dislike. Aoe2 is not realistic, but that hammering down with 1 vil for one second stops 40 paladins running somewhere or trap them is the most absurd of all. And its a very important and frequent play.
Its another theme but i often wondered if it wouldnt be better...
You can have your opinion but comeone... First: I never called for more then 3 closed maps, and you can ban 3, so noone has to play these, while the current mappool is forcing these super aggressive maps on everyone.
Second, i still beat 98 percent of the players in open maps so dont be personal...

Ok the vote but i feel prominent members of the aoe2 scene have influence which ones get prechoosen.
I might be wrong on this aspect.
I loved some old map pools so i dont want to talk **** about the people who choose them. Its just that the balance between the maps is gone. We had mappools in autumn with fortress, hideout, hillfort (loved it but long gone), etc and i feel people loved it just not the pros. People who preferred...
