I agree that knights and xbows are the most mainstream mid game tactics out there. However it still can't be used as an excuse for not nerfing inca vil rush. Definitely a very needed balance change!
I thought they would release about more the gameplay itself, features and so on. Turned out a litte bit dissapointing in this aspect.
I also had the impression that we are not having 4x4 100+ units battles and competitive gaming anymore - may be wrong though.
The question in the end of the day...
Honestly I think this comes down to the fact that currently there's no penalty for early leavers (I'm talking about those that turned this into a habit). He will feel encouraged to leave whenever the game turns slightly bad for him. This problem HAS to be tackled.

One of the challenges for me is to spread vils evenly between resources... I usually end up getting unbalanced and will use market. This frequently has to do with the military options you go and gets worse when I have unit transitions :(
Ships could go directly into each others TC by sailing in gravel (?). Doesn't even make sense honestly...
Wasn't quite entertaining either to watch those maps. Just like the players, I don't quite understand what's possible and what's not. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
