Hearttt is quite definitive, you can tell by his draft preferences and very obvious Hearttt mill:Hearttt, even if nothing definitive there
And out of the 16 players Jordan might have been like my 14th guess for Sumanguru, but half the people are convinced it's him.
Reminder Sumanguru had impressive feudal pressure, poor water builds, focused on ladder-like land maps and ignored Islands and Bypass which were the two Jordan homemaps of HC4, but I guess stonewalls on Gold Rush and Franks crossbows has to be Jordan
I'm not sold on it being Heart. Suman picked Gold Rush first, whereas in the qualis he was favouring Mudflow and Cross.Hearttt is quite definitive, you can tell by his draft preferences and very obvious Hearttt mill:
He did ban Gold Rush first set vs Kongen, which is a surprise. Other sets his opponents picked Gold Rush which does not prove anything, he did not ban it either so he seemed fine playing it.I'm not sold on it being Heart. What do you mean by that. Civs?Upon comparing the Drafts of Sumanguru and Heart NAC Drafts a bit I feel like the Sumanguru Draft does not look like Heart at all.
Pretty certain Vasco is Hera after more analysis. Box formation, and farm pattern matches Hera's and not Liereyy's, as people pointed out to me. But yes we will see.Vasco da Gama and Sumanguru will give us more information in their quarterfinal.
But any definitive thoughts on Pachacuti, Jean Bureau, Jadwiga or Gregory?
Jadwiga had vibes of a black forrest specialist (multi-boar lure, good monk play, good reactions to MBL's chaos, but neither very clean nor very fast), so either Barles or Ganji (I am leaning towards Ganji).
Gregory was very solid, fast, off-beat / creative (especially the goths game) and "rational" (insta resign after 2 hours, when wood and halbs were finished; I think, e.g. ACCM would have spammed goth hussars for 10 more minutes). A lot pointing to Vinch for me.

Well, Jadwiga's monk play was not worse than Pachacuti's; so, if you accept "Ganji on nerves" for the latter, the same should apply for the first =)Pachacuti nothing definitive yet, we were sitting on "Ganji on nerves because bad monk micro" but style and maps were looking Ganji or "bad unprepared Jordan" who shares many traits with him, as the most obvious guesses. Hard to know for sure due to very one-sided set overall, will have to be a lot of process of elimination and then reviewing to be certain.
Jean Bureau had many Fox elements, taking strats from both Mihai and Sebastian from the qualifier. And more Mihai vibes overall.
Jadwiga for me was the opposite of what you described, I think the monk play was underwhelming and I don't see a Ganji collapse like that against the push of game 1 without a proper monk reaction. I feel like Ganji would have matched the monk play. Draft and focus on water also does not match Barles. I'm heavily leaning towards Sitaux, I've explained why in details above.
That might be true. On the other hand, he probably didn't know that Gajah was completely out of wood as well (who mainly spammed hussars as trash unit, which don't cost wood). That resignation was not that rational. More on the early side. There was still a very realistic chance of a stalemate with Gajah having the better side of the stalemate. So having the stronger position, but unable to finish off the game. I guess theoretically you can keep hit and running with the hussars.
Overall, it felt more like. **** I messed this up resignation.
I disagree. Poor micro can be explained by nerves, but refusal to go into a strat can't.Well, Jadwiga's monk play was not worse than Pachacuti's; so, if you accept "Ganji on nerves" for the latter, the same should apply for the first =)

Jadwiga was unfamiliar with clown strats, while being solid both on land and on water, this is a Sitaux combination.
I feel like a Ganji who FC as Saracens goes for more of a monk play than pure Camels on Cup, for instance. Or that Ganji matches the monks in Hidden Forts.
Vinch has always been out of the box and with Italians, Byzantines, Malay, Persians, Mongols, Japanese banned... Not a lot of Bay hybrid civs left tbfGregory the VII seems very vinchester to me I agree to that. One thing that really threw me off was the Dravidians pick. I dont understand why its in there. Does vinchester have a history with that?
the dravidians pick is really the only thing that witholds me from going all in on him.
My issue for Barles is maps really don't feel like him, never had any hybrid focus imo. Can you elaborate?
I like your Saracens idea, taking notes.
Dravidians was his last pick, so maybe it's not something to read into.Gregory the VII seems very vinchester to me I agree to that. One thing that really threw me off was the Dravidians pick. I dont understand why its in there. Does vinchester have a history with that?

Or maybe it's because Vinch is Sumanguru.
Dravidians was his first pick, you misread the draft. It goes from center and from top row unless I misunderstood.Dravidians was his last pick, so maybe it's not something to read into.

While it doesn't make sense to overanalyze it (especially for players with the least/most data), I feel the graphs still do a decent job of capturing broad player trends. According to the graphic, the calculations are done using S-tier tournament (and presumably qualifier?) results. No offense to whoever made these, but they are pretty irrelevant as they mostly use ladder stats, and pros can troll on ladder, and go random civs there.
For instance, they seem to imply Hera is more known for meso than Yo, or that Viper is subpar on water. Just nope.
