Will the Turk Imperial tech Artillery be at reduced cost in new expansion? Turk civ desc. says that all gunpowder techs are -50%. Wouldn't this apply to the UT as well? Plus 450 stone a lot to sink into paying for this tech anyway.
The only real reason to use cav archer with any civ other than huns and mongols and maybe saracens/turks is for the element of surprise. No one expects a player to go cav archer with byzantine for example.
if the percentage rate is kept the same for the Goth's unique tech perfusion, they will have slight to moderate.improvement overall. Because of the new ability to queue multiple buildings up by grouping buildings and hotkeying from one, goths will be a top imp civ for sure.
Right now in game, you can kill deer with archers.
Also, on a very different note, it would be great to have a castle age or post imp tech for some or all civs that enables their onagers to fire more accurately at moving targets. Sort of like ballistics but for siege.
A few suggestions:
-Changing the team bonus for the Slavs to just a civ bonus for the Slavs. Right now it just seems like too much of a game changer if every civ on a team in a 4vs4 game can flood rams that do that fast of damage. Imagine how powerful a double or triple team could become, and...
I played a 4vs4 Arabia as Briton flank, and my pocket (Viking) decides to sling the flank Hun on the other side of the map. A majorly idiotic unilateral decision that cost us the game early, as I get double teamed in feudal and castle with no help, and then the other team must have somehow found...
A player named TheSling played against our team just yesterday in BF. He got up to imp at 23 mins and was immediately pumping bombard cannons and hand cannoneers. Suffice to say we were on our backfoot the rest of the game and did not recover from his initial incursion.
If you play BF, always...
Re: New Expansion (updated 28 Jul)
Why can one see faded blotches on ground in explored areas of map for enemy buildings, but not for walls? Would this be something that would be considered for being changed in the new expansion, or being kept the same?
Re: New Expansion (updated 28 Jul)
With Saracens getting a bonus on market cost to complement their market trading bonus, it could also make sense to give the Incas a bonus on their blacksmith cost to complement their villager-blacksmith upgrade bonus. This could lead to interesting early...
Re: New Expansion (updated 28 Jul)
If nothing is to be done about giving Byzantine either bloodlines or blast furnace, I would propose there at least be a boost given to the cataphract and/or elite cat. After seeing the high melee armor awarded to the boyar uu and the insane stats of imperial...
Re: New Expansion (updated 15 Jun)
I'm still of the opinion that the Franks should get a discount bonus on the "Faith" imperial monastery tech. It would be a fitting bonus, and a nod to their medieval hero of the Hundred Years War, Joan of Arc. Since knights are very high cost on gold, as is...
Re: New Expansion (updated 15 Jun)
Did the 12 hour stream talk about the condotierro (Italian uu)? I don't think I heard them talking about the capabilities of this unit on the stream if I remember correctly. Also, I wasn't sure I saw that this uu could be upgraded to an elite when they showed...
Re: New Expansion (updated 20 Feb: Trailer added)
Fisherman bonus would indeed be interesting.
What about if there was a kill counter on every unit in the game that could show you how many units they've killed. If your allies are uncommunicative or simply just x'ing not saying anything clear...
