I really loved the new Last Khans campaigns. Okay, Tamerlane was too easy, but the Ivaylo and Kotyan Khan were both great. Both were about a relatively unknown historics figures (at least to me), stories were intriguing and the campaigns were well made. They aren't as easy as AoC/AoK ones, but...
I used to play:
Civ5 (if that counts)
Pharaoh; Zeus:Master of Olympus & Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom (city building games)
I have also tried some Total war games, Aoe1 and Aoe3, but never stuck playing for a long time.
There should be only Arena in the map pool :D
While I enjoy playing some less common maps from time to time, I woudn't like having more maps in the map pool. It would just lessen the chance that we would get good, balanced, meta maps like arena or arabia.
I miss Melkor the most since I am a big fan of his strategies on Arena. I just wonder how he would the new civs on Arena. I also miss other clowns: Edie,Metal,Stefan...
Since I started watching/playing in 2017, I have never seen Chris playing live (apart from a game or two in NC). I would love...
At first I picked civs, but now I always go random. I think going random is the best way to improve your game and it's more fun that way. At lower-medium level, civ selection doesn't play a huge factor as much as player skill imo.
Ok fair enough, I didn't watch the recs, and i was midly annoyed that i couldn't find his vills. I would say sorry to him if I knew who he was, although I hate players who hide vills.
Next time i will delete my whole base just to find him111
As long as I don't know the result, I prefer to watch a recorded game. I just hate waiting for the game to start.
I have noticed that I don't have any problem getting hyped while watching recs of sports. For instance, I almost always watch NBA recs due to time zone diffrence instead of live...
The way I see it, at least three of the maps will lead to mirror matches at least 90 % of time (things might change with the new balance and new civs, but probably not).
1. Arabia Regicide will lead to Chinese War 100 % of time, simply because Chinese start with more vills than the regular civ...
This is what I liked in this event:
I liked hidden civs and diverse map pool ( I could live without Cenotes or Valley because they are essentially Arabia clones) and any tournament that has Arena in the mappool is always more interesting.
This is what made me tune in:
I assume there are two main reasons why we won't see any new expansion with new civs (at least any time soon):
1. Balance: It's hard to think of a new civ that feels unique, has eco/military bonuses that are not used right now and it balanced.
2. From the Microsoft PoV, it doesn't make any...
I have no interest in Go right now. Although computer engines made it clear that with the perfect play, chess is a draw and like 95%+ games at the correspondence chess end in a draw, I still enjoy playing it (online) and spectating high level games.
Draws don't bother me at all. I prefer...
