That's not what I meant, I didn't mean why the game should be more fair^^
I questioned whether that change would make the game more fair, which I heavily doubt.
We're not talking about a Civ, we're talking about a game mechanic.
You can choose your Civ but you can't have different game...
The Question I have is "why"?
Why should that be implemented/changed, what would be the benefit?
I don't see why it would be "more fair", it applies to every player the same way so it is already fair.
Whether you wall or not is your decision, if you think defenders have an unfair disadvantage...
Are they rly punished or isn't it more like rewarding those who did participate in those A/B Tier Tourneys?
As you said those A/B Tournaments apparently aren't worth it in terms of prize money, so isn't this technically just giving them something back because they participated in those smaller...
I would guess he then would give the Admins a reason as to why he doesn't want to activate the Facecam.
Would be weird if he refuses it knowingly that his team get's atleast disqualified.
Me too, but I'm struggling a bit finding a reason which you don't want to tell the Admin (not the viewers, the Admins of the Tournament) and I don't say there is none, but that's way more specific imo.
I know what you mean, I just wouldn't be too harsh on Daniel because we don't know his...
That seems rly harsh to say.
We don't know what his reasons were, they might be rly good reasons, we don't know, it's not for us to say whether it was more/less important.
But so did the Admins not know which makes it impossible for them to make an exception.
Not sure that should matter for the decision, rules are rules no matter the "importance" of the series/game.
Seems more weird to me to expect Admins to make an exception when they don't know the reason for why they should make the exception.
Then you have to make the whole Face-Cam-Thing...
Always dislike it when Tournament-Rules are discussed while a Tournament is ongoing.
Like everyone knew more then long enough before to start a discussion and share theyre thoughts with the Organizers, I guess that's also why we can't hear the Players even though it was announced, because it...
This is rly interesting, was always wondering why aoe2 Tournaments don't have more sponsors, but this tells a lot then if even you for HC4 only got such offers.
Youtube-Livestreams were always a thing since there are big Streamers aswell, FB-Viewership is obv. mentioned because the 2 biggest AoE2-Streamers moved to FB, why would that be "desperate"?
Isn't it kinda narrow-minded to only see Twitch as the only place where Viewers matter?
Obv. Covid...
That's obviously something we can only speculate about.
I'd guess because those Tournaments get planned a long time beforehand it's not unlikely that they decided on AoE4 before AoE4 was even released and only later decided to include AoE2/AoE1 aswell.
We heard several times that a lot of...
I don't think it's mainly about MS so far, in both Cases RBW and the Golden-League you have an external "Party" which invests a lot of they're own Money and MS basically copies that (the same with N4C).
So as soon as those external Partys stop putting they're own money into aoe4... I'd doubt...
Maybe it would be better to have Relegation-Matches for the 5th Placed of the Groups of Platinum League against 5-8th of Gold-League.
But just imagine fighting your way to the Top 8 in Gold-League with giving everything you got just to Play a Relegation Match against a Hera who wasn't motivated...
I don't mean that they don't deserve it or that others would deserve it more.
It just seems unusual because usually for a 2nd edition of a Tournament to receive such a huge MS-support you would either expect that the Host (one of them) is a big Streamer, the first Edition was incredibly well...
