Faster moving archers would definitely be a good solution for camels and even halbs because Turks player would be a bit more incentivised to keep its archer mass and it would be easier to keep them alive. And against elephants, camels would be the option.
I think Turks are fine as well in most levels except pro-tournament caliber. They are just preferred around 32-36th in the drafts in all these years. But yes, many people would argue in the same side with you.
This is why I was trying to find something that doesn't change much for any level...

- Maybe. But probably not in the hands of plebs. And in the top-top level, there is no archer civ that is too...
