Re: Campaign The Forgotten Sforza part 1 An End and a Beginn
The triggers were changed so that you get the Siege Ram and not the Siege Tower. The videos you were watching where players got the Siege Tower were probably from a far older version.
It should be noted that completely different teams are in charge of the spheres of new content and performance optimization, so in no way does one preclude the other ;)
It may be a shocking revelation to some, but professional game development is actually a very costly expenditure, and so it...
Thanks for posting this, Zak! That game you streamed the other day truly was the best hamburger ever :)
This is an interesting point and is worth considering. However, I'd like to believe that more civs (so long as they're unique) bring more variety and thus more longevity to the game. More...
Sandy has been inactive at AoKH for at least a decade. I think you are thinking of Matt P, who was an ES team member and hung around AoKH a lot until 2012 or so. There was an interesting thread where he posted about asking MS to release the sourcecode to AoE2 so that more expansions and patches...
AoFE v2.2 (mod version) has not been updated since May 2013, so many of the issues listed in this thread might not be fixed in it. To play the official (and updated) version, you will need the Forgotten Expansion to AoE2HD.
Vivaemule, the issue you described should be easy to fix if you make a...
If that is indeed the case, then they should have asked and properly credited that mod. ToME is still in development as well (though the beta version from Dec 2012 is on AoKH and Moddb), so I sure hope nothing is used from that. If you mean BoME or METC, then in any case it should still be...
I looked through the credit list that you have on the mod page, and one thing that I really don't like is the use of the Viking building graphics from Fr Steve's Age of Voivods mod. That mod is unreleased as of yet and so the only way the graphics from it could have been obtained would be by...
Given the timeframe of AoE2, it's a historical anachronism to be sure, but here you go. One of the ES employees was a huge fan of the Polish Winged Hussars, so I guess they decided to put them in the game with wings instead of the non-winged ones that existed during the game's timeframe.
If you...
Remember that Mongols have excellent Heavy Scorpions, which have a huge bonus vs elephants (and with Drill move faster than Elephants with Husbandry and Mahouts, I believe, so can out-micro them). They also help if the Persian player adds Halbs. Mongols don't have the greatest Monks, but any...
They are classed as cavalry, I believe, but Scorpions have an attack bonus against them. Considering the power of Mongol siege, I'd say that HScorps are probably your best bet to counter them aside from Monks. Mangudai aren't great against them because they can just soak the fire and kill...
There was a 4v4 Goth Imperial DM on tiny map that I think you made a video on once- that was quite cool.
The recent Tyrant FFA King of the Hill was incredible.
Viper 1v3 is always great too- seeing one player able to fight, fend off, and defeat three others is absolutely sensational.
