Wow. I cannot believe this solution is not described anywhere else... because it works!
Hosting on XP or on Win7 both works perfectly now. Never thought it would be the router.

I have been playing AoE for a long time in LAN games, but since I have switched to Win7 I have problems connecting.
I have tried with the following setup:
- PC1 & 2: Win7 64 bit
- PC3: WinXP
When I start a multiplayer game in either Win7 machine, none of the others can see it. When I start it...

Anyway, I'm on a VGA monitor (no DVI connection), and normally you can see it auto-adjusting.
I pushed the button and YES, lines are gone!
I still cannot believe it, since it worked with the other card flawlessly. And I actually tried...
If is included these days in FE I thought, colors are fine. Anyway I ran the fix again just now again. No difference.
Tried XP before, but now also 2K. Same result.
It is Win7 SP1, so it has Dx11 included. Verified with DxDiag.
Auto updates are on.
Any other suggestions?
