Coustiliers are designed to be good at charging vs low HP targets and siege, then hit and run, the nerf is mostly because they are too abusable with the charge and strong at 2k (explained by Hera), the -5 charge attack means they no longer kill villagers and arbalests in the charge attack, but with a shorter charge to offset that.Also, if the coustiliers are nerfed too hard rn, i think they give the Elite coustillier +1 melee armor or something, so they trade better vs paladin or other heavy cavalry (the snowball situation is expected to be addressed after this change, lets see how they perform)
kamayuk and steppe lancers hit their enemies with melee weapons. How on earth would it make sense for their attacks to be "dodgeable" like ranged attacks? There's a massive difference between having a very long spear and literally throwing an axe/scimitar through the air...it seems that shrivamsha rider was in fact designed to dodge ranged melee attacks, but the unit is bugged as it doesn't dodge kamayuk's/steppe lancer's spear lol
