Hello. Gonna make this a monthly thing as it's important to stay updated about the new changes after a patch, and as it turns out, there are always some changes that are not mentioned in the main post. Lets start:
"- You have a 90% chance to experience a small 1-3 second lag spike during games. This was implemented to make it more fair towards those who already had lag. While to some, this may seem counterintuitive at first, please understand that this change will make the game more enjoyable as a whole.
- ELO will no longer update properly in-game. Players should just focus about the game, not their rating. More fun for all parties involved.
Next, is a new feature that we are very excited about. We believe it will be life changing for a lot of people:
- Some players will no longer be able to start the game. This is partly to avoid server overload, but also a hint from us that they should probably move on in life.
We hope you're all as excited about these new changes as we are . We work hard to keep the game updated to modern standards, and we want you all to have the best time possible playing this game that we all love.
We believe this will help bring some fresh life to AoE, and we look forward to be seeing you on the battlefield.
Good luck out there! Oh, and don't forget to bring your sword and arrows with you!"
(This list is incomplete... more things will be added as new features gets reported)
