Note: With Nerfox swamped with The Resurgence, you will have to forgive my formatting, and I hope I have posted this in the right place.
Welcome to another Delicious Duel! For those who missed having Daut and Tatoh in Jordan's JMB last week, you can catch them playing a short 3-game series on 3 brand new delicious maps. They have been designed to require some....planning...
Each player therefore has an exclusive pool of 6 civs to play for the 3 games.
The map pool can be found in the in-game Mods list under “Dragonmilks Delicious Dozen” map pack.
Monty Hall – Play testers think the style similar to Atacama but with more aggression. You have 3 land paths to your enemy separated by walls. One wall is made of the thickest wood on the map, the other wall is made of water where fishing is worthwhile but not game-ending if water is lost. The central passage contains extra golds on the cracked terrain, has skinny goats (33 food), and is guarded by 4 pierce armor lions. The uphill side passages feature Turtle Rocks and contain the only stone on the map. Capturable 1hp fence sections assist in alerting players of sneaks.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As mentioned, the food on extra goats is reduced to 33 and pierce armor of lions has been set to 4 in order to discourage the ghost lake issue of all briton/tatars/viet and more broadly nerf early game archer rushes.
Moist Macaroon – Players start in a Steppe setup (unbuilt tc, 6 vils) in the east and west with safe wood but exposed other resources. The central macaroon contains plenty of all resources, as well as wolves. The northern snow isle has turtle rocks while the southern desert isle has gold fish. There are no wolves in the north, south, east or west, just the center. Oh right, did I mention you also start with a flaming camel instead of a horse? And the flaming camel can walk on water and pass through anything? Have fun!
Nervous Nuggets – The final map features a nomad start, but with 2 vils in each of the 2 nuggets (4 total vils). One nugget features GoldFish but otherwise fairly sparse food, while the other nugget has GoldenCalves but otherwise sparse on gold. It's a 3-tile chop out of the nugget for neutral stone and sparse amounts of gold, as well as Scandi style water borders. Will you be 2 nervous to enjoy your nuggets knowing there's at least 2 vils sharing it?
Enjoy!
