I think he wants to be considered the favorite again and his preparation for this tournament is head and shoulders above that of the opponents he has faced so far. His reaction after the first game against Dogao says it all -- it was as if he had prepared an opening all the way to checkmate. Every game against Hera was a matter of not throwing rather than struggling for an advantage. His lack of adaptability in that Tatars game might be a problem as the number of bans increases later in the tournament, but he recognized it afterward and I think he'll be able to fix it. Strategy has been 10/10 so far; I'm not usually a fan of his but wow he has won me over. Really hope he takes it this time.
