Tournament format:
1. Swiss format Group Stage (16 players - 5 weeks)
Week 1: Best vs worst, second best vs second worst... that mean seeding, 1st vs 16th, 2nd vs 15th...
Week 2-5: Players can only play against other players with the same set record. There will be a new ranking after each week. (set record > games record > seeding) In a group with the same set record, the #1 ranked player will play vs. #2, #3 vs. #4, etc. Players can not play against each others twice. In this case the player gets the next ranked player. Fixtures will be announced each week before Monday 10:00 GMT.
If a players wins 3 sets, they advance to the KO/Final Stage - if they lose 3 they are eliminated from the tournament.
2. Single Elimination KO Stage (8 players - 3 weeks)
If you lose you are out of the tournament.
Seeding for the final stage will be based on the performance of the players in the group stage: best players vs worst, second vs second worst, third best vs third worst and fourth best vs fourth worst.
"Best" is the player with the least amounts of matches needed to advance. Players with same number of matches played are ranked by their win/loss ratio. If they are still equal they will be sorted by their head-to-head result. If they didn´t play each other their tournament seeds will decide the order.
