While this is true I don't think there is a perfect way to solve this.If seed 16 beats seed 1, that doesn't mean that they are now the best player.
If seed 16 beats seed 1, there are 3 options:
- Seed 16 is actually the best, he was seeded too low
- Seed 1 is actually not in top 16 and was seeded too high
- Something in between 1. and 2. with seed 1 playing worse than his seed and seed 16 playing better than his seed
Saying that seed #18 is better than seed #15 doesn't make too much sense to me tbh. It means that you may get a stronger opponent and you are more likely to get knocked out. And if you are actually better than seed #15, why not just play and get seed #15 yourself? Easier opponent in Ro32 and same seed for Ro16...
Hence I am fine with either option - both have their advantages and disadvantages.
