League start: March 18th. There will be 8 to 10 weeks total to complete all the matches, depending on whether your league will have 6 or 8 teams.
Welcome, team game enthusiasts to my 3v3 league. It is a follow-up to League of Empires from 2020 and 2021, accepting players of all ELOs, though for the time being there is no prize pool for any of the divisions.
The event is a league format, where the teams are split into divisions, based on the average 1v1 ranked ELO (average of current+highest for each player on seeding date) of the team's three highest ranked members (exceptions can be considered, in which case I will make an estimated "1v1" level based on ranked team games activity). You may, however, sign up a maximum of six players for your team, to allow substitues and for added smoothness of scheduling. Each league division will usually have either six or eight participating teams.
The map pool for season 8 has four standard maps decided by me as the host:
Adriatic Islands
Compass (Nomad start, no treaty)
Serengeti
ZeWall
In addition to these four maps, five more maps will be decided through captains' votes after the signup deadline has passed. There will be maps to vote on in four "map style" pools, where the highest voted map from each pool will be added to the league map pool for a total of 9 maps. There is a dedicated "map suggestions" channel in my discord where anyone can suggest maps.
See the attached handbook at the top of this post for details on the league timeline, and feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions!
The event is also open streaming for both casters and players, the only requirement being a command in your stream chat (or description in your Youtube video) stating that Akkal is the host, and adding a link to my twitch site https://www.twitch.tv/akkalno .
I will cast a selection of the games across the different divisions myself, and hope to see alot of new and earlier seasons' teams joining!
