I want to start this discussion early - so let's assume every player outside of the Hidden Cup 4's final 16 signed up, who would you pick as your favourites to win or place very high?

I'm looking at players like Max and Hearttt who barely missed out on qualifying, upcoming players like Dark or Classicpro, veterans of the game like Capoch, unpredictable dark horses like Rubenstock or SongSong and last but certainly not least, Nili who I wish all the best on his journey to improve.

What are your picks?

If I have to pick one, Daniel. He looked really good vs ACCM who even made it past the ro16.
TheMax and LaaaaaN have had insanely good performances in the past though so they're probably the safe bets for boring prudent people.

Hearttt is another really strong candidate. I will shamelessly support all Finns getting in, but there must be like a dozen candidates with similar odds of winning. Gonna be great and I'd be surprised if someone dominated the tournament.

Yeah hearttt is an insanely strong player too, it's just been a year or two longer since a standout performance from him imo (1v1 wise, he's been a beast in TG the whole time). And then there's players like slam, lyx, f1re, miguel who can all be amazing... I think there's so many players here who's peak performance can easily be top 16... and so many players who haven't proven themselves but are quietly improving a ton like Bruh for example

If he signs up and practices, I would say F1re. He pushed Nicov really close in the qualifiers, and I think he said he wasn't able to practice that much which shows just how good he can be.

I think his biggest contenders can be slam, Hearttt and F1Re. PROject_Belgium or Daniel could have a shot as well.
I am not really convinced of Capoch's and miguel's shape, although miguel apparently put up a strong fight against ACCM in ECI2.

As for the dark horses, I kinda expect BruH and Sitaux to break through one day... Besides, classicpro has improved a lot and could get an upset and Vodka seems to be in great shape, at least since winning European Rumble.

I'd love to see RiuT winning it but don't really believe he has a chance. Also, I don't really see LaaaaaaN competing on that level currently.

I actually like the Bugum pick there. He has been leaving a mark recently and, IMO, appears to improve all the time. Maybe it's my homer choice speaking, but I agree TheMax is the favourite, perhaps followed by Slam and Hearttt. But this is gonna be close for sure.
