AOE-II DE Your DE Mods WILL NEVER BE DISABLED AGAIN With This Quick Fix

So I made this tool that stops AoE2 DE from disabling your mods AND adding anniversary/achievement mods without your permission.

It looks like ..

As you can see the Yellow Lock is LOCKED. Meaning DE can not alter your mods anymore.

To install new mods You must click the yellow lock again to UNLOCK.

is it me or does it not work? half of the time i get a message called something like : 'access path entry denied', and then certain mods appeared to stop working with this turned on ( big numbers mod), only way to fix it was to delete the program again...


and ofcourse after that i got 20 new anniversary mods installed for the 3th time this months. fml

please help me Greg.

Good patch but it may cause an insta crash if they are using the old menu mod, cause whenever they add an event and a timer it crashes with that mod.

Some other mods could also cause an insta crash in game such as those that modifies the commandpanel.json or similar files when the devs edit something there or add more lines, so i guess you should add a warning to uses your tool only for visual mods and not UI mods.

It deletes mods that are unchecked in the ui and sets subscribe folder to permission read&execute (not the read only the attribute cuz that is bypassed by DE) found in properties.

(Warning: Apparently users with non-English windows system run into some issues. As stupid as it sounds it's Windows not me lol. I will keep you all updated.)
