WSVG World Championship 2015 - Administration |
The administrators will run the World Championship tournament and will help players in various situations.
Tournament Administrators:

WSVG World Championship 2015 - Official Rules |
1. General Rules |
- All players must respect the Tournament schedule and times for each round. There will be NO exceptions or delays granted to ANY player. No excuse will be accepted for failing to play in the specified time. If the admin staff determine that a player is trying to avoid scheduling and playing the tournament games, the player may be warned, receive an admin loss for the game or match or be disqualified from the WSVG World Championship 2015 tournament.
- If both players cannot come to an agreement in scheduling their match, tournament staff will analyze the situation, schedule, and time zones, in order to add a viable Admin Time that suits both Players, to the best of our ability.
- Every player must respect their opponent. Bad behavior (determined by staff) will result in a warning and may lead to an immediate disqualification. This tournament values not only great skills, but also sportsmanship and fairness. Any insult, racism or flaming will not be tolerated. Laming and mind games in game are allowed.
- All players have agreed to the No Smurfing rule. Each player must submit all relevant usernames for admins discussion. Smurfing and account sharing is not allowed. Any discovery of the mentioned will result in a disqualification.
- Players are not allowed to stream their own games! This is to avoid receiving any help/information (even if unintentionally) from the stream viewers.
- All games are by default to be played in the Voobly Tournament Lobby using the WSVG World Championship 2015 Ladder (add link). If both Players agree to play in another lobby on Voobly, that is accepted as well.
- In the Qualification Stage and Play Off Stage, immediately after completion of each match, the winning player has to rename the recorded games according to the rules and post them in the WSVG World Championship 2015 Recorded Games section ( → *add link when created*) of this respective round.
[*] From the Showdown Stage and the remaining rounds onward, the participating players will have access to a private Player Zone under the WSVG World Championship category in the left menu. There will be a topic dedicated to your specific match-up, and immediately after the match, both players are to rename their recorded games according to the rules and post them in the respective match topic. The admins will then release the recorded games to the public with spoilers to avoid revealing the result.
[*] Before posting, the recorded game files must be renamed in the following format:
Game naming examples:
WSVG Qualification Bear_Grylls (POV) vs Wild_Nature G1 Arabia.mgz
WSVG PlayOff Stage Bear_Grylls (POV) vs Wild_Nature G2 Islands.mgz
WSVG Showdown Stage Bear_Grylls (POV) vs Wild_Nature G3 Islands.mgz
Pack naming examples:
WSVG Qualification Bear_Grylls (POV) vs Wild_Nature.zip
WSVG PlayOff Stage Bear_Grylls (POV) vs Wild_Nature.zip
WSVG Showdown Stage Bear_Grylls (POV) vs Wild_Nature.zip
If the games aren't renamed correctly (or not packed), the result won't be accepted until the games are renamed/packed according to the given format.
[*] Additional time to complete your games will NOT be allowed under any circumstances!
[*] All the games must be scheduled and confirmed by both Players in the WSVG Scheduling forums ( → *add link when ready*) informing the other player of the exact date and time of the arranged games.
[*] If there is no agreement about the playing time by Thursday 23.59 GMT, the staff might start interfering in order to get the games scheduled and completed in time.
[*] In case of disconnections, the game must be saved and restored. All of the .mgz recorded game files (multiple parts of the game before/after drop) must be provided when posting the recorded games.
If restoring is not possible, the recorded game should be provided, along with any additional information to the Administration of the WSVG World Championship 2015 instantly. Subsequently, facts will be analyzed and a final decision made.
[*] Once two players have arranged and confirmed a time to play, the maximum waiting time is 30 minutes. If one of the players fails to arrive in time, the waiting player must take a screenshot showing http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_UTC.aspx (so the current time is clearly visible) with the Tournament Lobby game room, and post the screenshot in Admin Requests topic (add link), with a link to the post in the Scheduling forums where the game time was arranged and confirmed. This way, tournament admins will know how long the player waited and upon admins decision, the player that did not come might get an Admin Loss for the games. Do not try to edit time arrangement posts in an attempt to get free wins, because our forum registers the exact date and hour of each edited post. Such actions are considered cheating, and the offender will be punished according to rules.
[*] Prizes will be sent via PayPal. If the recipients do not use/have PayPal the prizes will be sent by other means. All / any fees will be deducted from the recipients prize.
[*] If a game is not recorded, it must be replayed regardless of result and evidence of it.
[*] By signing up for the tournament you agree to have all your games streamed and casted by the official streaming team of the WSVG World Championship 2015 through using the Spectator Mode on Voobly, brought by the Userpatch 1.4 RC version. The streams will always have a delay to avoid cheating, and no other persons are allowed to spectate your game besides the official streamers, or if persons are granted permission by the tournament administration for a valid reason. There is no assurance of your games being streamed, but the possibility is there at all times.
[*] New rules can be added and current rules can be changed. However, Admins MUST inform the Players about such changes in the WSVG World Championship 2015 Rules & Settings forum. All the latest additions in Rules / Settings will be in red.
