Why replace interviewers with a pretty face with no game knowledge?

1st of all I feel blessed for all that redbull and the crew behind are putting up to pull off this tourney, its insane!!

But after watching this massive mbl - hera series I'm so thrilled to go into the interview and get a bit into mbls thoughts/feelings/processes and then... Nothing

Just this awkward congratulations and the one remark about the games regarding how hera always had more eco.. I felt like I was reading a horoscope

I have nothing against the girl interviewer, this isn't gender related, I just wonder why isn't someone with game knowledge interviewing? There are female personalities with a lot of game knowledge if you want to balance the gender thing

Hopefully tomorrow we can get good interviewers because, for me, it's just the cherry on top of the cake, after an amazing series to be able to pick on the players brain

I think the blood pressure and adrenaline were so high for MBL that he wouldn't be able to answer difficult questions anyway, I am at the edge of my chair cheering from my mother's basement so I cannot even imagine how EXCITING AND THRILLING it is for MBL. I believe he even was shaking!

For me it was a great interview. The guy was shaking, super emotional. A quick interview was the best for him, to go celebrate the biggest win of his career.

I also dislike the lack of knowledge from others raising recently. Riley guy, guanfranco, and so on. They do a decent job but their completely lack of knowledge and context is horrible

It doesn't bother me.

Whatever he lacks in game knowledge and experience Riley more than makes up for with his professionalism and sense of humor. He's just enjoyable to listen to.

Not sure about interviews, but she helped a lot during that downtime with quizzes etc. Dave and T90 were out of weird things to discuss at some point.

Yeah hes good, but when he talks about the game he feels generic or like he is repeating something he was told.

He should step it up, at least get decent at the game so he can have his own opinions.

Man mbl was in shock, i think she did the questions according to what she saw, she noticed mbl was still shacking, clearly mbl needed a minute or two before answer any question.

A bit of a missed opportunity there yes. I would love it if chrazini or anybody there could help by giving her some 'game knowledge' questions to ask alongside whatever she comes up with. Don't know how much sense that would make though.

Riley is a great addition who could maybe step back a bit and allow others to chip in more.

Really cool event in any case and I love all the costumes and pageantry :P

Post-game interviews (right after finishing a long set) are an overrated concept in my opinion. Players need to rest, and since they are usually not able to answer concisely, the questions have to be dumbed down.

Whatever professionalism she brought to the table was outweighed by her complete and utter lack of knowledge with regard to the players, the game, etc. Pretty much any one of us here could have done a better job. Far and away Redbull's biggest miss of this tournament. They've done a great job otherwise, but I will be extremely disappointed if she's doing the interviews after tomorrow's sets. It's just bad.

I don't think its that bad, and all of the players are streamers and i'm sure they will all do their own Q&A after the event on their streams anyway so I don't think anyone will be too put out by the interview content. At best they last for 2 minutes anyway, hardly enough time to have a meaningful interview.

I watch a wide variety of sports, and therefore familiar with the spectrum of insightful and uninspiring interviews. I found Masamora’s post game interviews uncommonly good in comparison to anything I’ve seen and heard before.

Anybody knows what happened to Masmorra? He was doing the postgame interviews on day 1 but then disappeared completely.

I get how if you are looking for a strategic deep dive into the series that just occurred this could be a disappointment, but instead of criticizing her, think about what production has made her role to be. The interviews red bull seems to want are more typical post game interviews - 'how are you feeling right now', 'what about x big moment', 'what are you looking forward to about the next set' boom, 1 2 3 done. Personally I like this as it just lets us get a quick glimpse into the personalities of the players and the players don't have to go into detail on a stressful series they just played and potentially give away details or strategies that can be used against them later on. The deep dive into the series is reserved for the analyst crew which is exactly what heir role should be. I also think Riley does a fantastic job facilitating those discussions and certainly has grown to know enough about the game to succeed in his role. He isn't supposed to be the expert he is supposed to know enough to drive the conversation with the experts - the 2 casters/analysts in the analyst chairs at that point and that segment flows great. Again, I get that you may want a more detail oriented interview, but that definitely isn't what they are going for, and in my opinion that is more than OK. I think this production has been far and away better than anything we have seen in AOE in the past and its very cool to see.
