You have a point, although as players get eliminated from the tournament, one's choices for support get narrower, so the discussion can only do so much to avoid that.

I appreciate your efforts memb trying to hype the game despite the near future which isn't bright for aoe2, i don't think kotd4 will be the last S tournament, but until the next big event we will have way less pro player activity due the genesis making weekly events and i think that is what makes most of us sad, cause aoe4 isn't really good to justify the migration.

We the old plebs know how hard was for aoe2 to become popular on twitch and some of us lived the closure of zone and gamepark and the darkest times of aoe during 2010 and 2011, we saw the game thriving despite its age and the lack of new players interested in the game, so watching the game being severely hurt for the same players/streamers the community has rooted and supported in many ways is just sad, it feels like a betrayal so that explain why so many users are angry with those humans making the game lesser.

The secretive way things are where the regular community members are always kept in the dark until some near moment where someone can make a grand announcement for some cheap hype is the root of this problem. At some point events become established and don't need one moment to build excitement; it builds organically in anticipation of that event, once it is known for sure that event is happening. If there is an obvious reason for Microsoft to reduce funding for AoE2 tournaments and something like Hidden Cup V is not confirmed to be happening only ~3 months before it would be expected then people are understandably going to think that drop in official support might be happening. You help a bit here by insinuating there actually are more but always try to keep in the mind the perspective of people who do not have any sort of behind the scenes access to information as you do.

Well in this unforeseen scenario where the finals will be played by future aoe4 full time players, i guess i'd go for Vinchester, the youngman has defeated different styles without affecting his strategy, viper will have to do something out of the box or beat vinchester on his own meta which will be interesting to see
