It's possible given that the cases are steadily rising again, they could do it right after polls close here
This. With an election coming up, no way strict restrictions (especially since many of the players should be vaccinated) will be enforced before September 26. There may be some rule like "unvaccinated players have to be tested regularly", but given the current political climate, I can't see bans on mid-sized meetings happening.first reason: we will have our government elected end of september. there is no way the current geovernment is gonna take the risk of losing potential votes due to higher corona restrictions.
does twitch allow restriction so that stream can't be viewed from certain country, let's say Germany?do a event streamed to 20k people in secret
Silly you, how would you split a single $100000 bill? Why spliting the cash among the people on this thread isn't an option?
Memb vs T90 is not a good match up.
Nili vs T90 ans Dave vs Memb sounds more interesting !
Hey now, memb vs T90 sounds like a balanced matchup to me. Let's do winner take all to make it more suspenseful
Sorry Eb. This event would've never taken place if the numbers are where they are now when they were planning. The problem is they bet the pandemic was over -- when it was pretty evident cases were about to rise again -- primarily all variant (vaccine-resistant). Now they've already paid the players to start travel arrangements. The ship has sailed. The almighty dollar matters more, the LAN event of a game that has been played mostly online for multiple decades must happen. Too much has been invested.I'll believe the Germans in that it's very unlikely, but people seem to not know that Europe has a travel free zone called Schengen. We have had our borders open throughout entire rona. I suggest Limburg, only 250 km away from Heidelburg. Players can stay in chateau st. Gerlach. I compellingly suggest looking for backup locations already
I believe just about every streamer may have a suggestion for a spectacular VPN that could get around such restrictions.does twitch allow restriction so that stream can't be viewed from certain country, let's say Germany?
There were restrictioons in Schengen as well during COVID though (not sure about them now). And Id be quite worried about the event honestly, for example Czech Republic yesterday moved Germany in the dangerous category which means there are major restrictions for people returning from there. If the growth will continue (which is quite likely in the 14 days period), are you sure its responsible to get 20+ people from all over the world in the same place? Let alone the fact, that such gathering might not be allowed. Id think there is a plan B and C normally, but the organization of the event so far isnt giving me such hopes.I'll believe the Germans in that it's very unlikely, but people seem to not know that Europe has a travel free zone called Schengen. Öhh, Nope. This is not true. Responsibility is relative, I admire how Germany handles their stuff, but I've always felt that restricting people with a high impact on society is weird, when there are hundreds of people in place of them partying under a viaduct. Like the Roman phrase, people need bread and circusesThere were restrictioons in Schengen as well during COVID though (not sure about them now).
