It is coming to a place where private platforms are holding their broadcasters responsible for homophobia. Terrible, isn't it?The F word.
What is this world coming to.

Oh yeah, no, the other F word, I guess his video clarifies as well.Ah, where I'm from the "F word," is ****.
I know right. A few thousand years ago, you wouldn't even go to jail for murder. The world is not tolerant at all anymore. (sarcasm)So, a ban because MBL calls someone a homo? OMG.... The world is not tolerant at all anymore. I love this world much more 10-15 years ago when people not got offended so quickly.
. You break the set rules, you face consequences
Twitch can, of course, set their rules but in my eyes, there is too much emphasis on using inappropriate words.
Words are just words. If you feel offended by a streamer's words, then don't watch him/her anymore.
Yeah, insane to get "offended" by an explicit insult. Not like that's the idea of the word. So, a ban because MBL calls someone a homo? OMG.... The world is not tolerant at all anymore. I love this world much more 10-15 years ago when people not got offended so quickly.
Go to the subreddit thread. There people were literally talking that twitch is ending Western Civilization because they don't allow slurs on their platform. The mods needed to lock the thread.Guys wtf it's been an hour and this thread isn't a shitshow yet. Where are the passionate-yet-idiotic arguments about free speech? Claims that MBL really is a homophobe who should be permabanned? If someone doesn't tell me that SJWs are ruining the game in the next 20 minutes I'm going to uninstall.
I am very, very disappointed in each and every one of you. Do better, AoE2.
The word MbL used is completely unacceptable and shouldn't be used ever. Ultimately the word is a homophobic slur and the 7 day ban is proportionate and necessary under the circumstances.
I understand your point and I am a big MbL fan. As I say I don’t think he meant the word with homophobic connotations and I actually think he’s a great guy. The reason I feel strongly about words like this that are discriminatory in nature are that minority communities, such as the gay community, are facing discrimination and outright persecution across the world. Use of words like that by figures with influence perpetuates that discrimination, even if just a slip of the tongue.I think that's overdramatizing. I'm not saying that such words should be commonly used in everyday language but I just don't get the concept of being offended by some word. Are people scared of it? Does someone saying some homophobic or racial slur somehow invalidate those groups as proper human beings? It's ridiculous to be offended by some random pleb saying anything about you, especially online in 99,99% of such cases you will never meet this person again so why do you care about what he/she thinks about you?
Mibble is public figure in our community so he got the worse of it, now he has to pay the price of not thinking before saying, but I don't like the simple fact people cry over such minor things.
