As far as I know, several of the top AoE4 players are not signed to a professional team, and signing new players would allow their AoE2 players to focus on AoE2 and the new players to AoE4. Though we don't have the functionality to distinguish between AoE4 and non AoE4 players within a team, here is the list of teams that have at least one player in AoE4.

There is also a couple missing, the teams themselves have not met the notability guidelines yet. Like Team Liquid (missing 1 more player) and Dominaticus Esports (their players are not notable)

Immediately following the announcement on his facebook stream, Viper was asked about training for AoE4/NC4. He explained that the state of the game is so bad, and so unenjoyable to play, that he cannot see himself training or consistently playing AoE4. He is going to hope for the best with the February patch, and see how it goes

Funny fact, all NAC tournament finals before had minimum BO9, now they don't even have enough civ for that. So I guess a DLC is coming up, Nili trying to milk the cow also there?
