Hello everyone!
Some of you may have seen me in reddit, in a twitch chat or perhaps even watched my own miserable stream. I'm a random newbie from Finland who has enjoyed playing AoE2 on voobly in last 6 months, but due to a new a job I'm starting to lack time and energy to play the game myself so much anymore. Due to this I decided that I will start arranging a weekly tournament in future and will sponsor the base prize money for each week. For now I've tought that the prize money would be 20€ as a base and donations on top of that. I might however increase this amount and possibly even gather donations for couple of weeks to boost up the prize money for couple of weeks until my payrolls start coming in properly and I can fund higher prize money than 20€ on my own as a base.
If everything goes as planned the first tournament will be held within a month or two after which as the title sais, it'll be a weekly thing.

Google drive document link for the tournament settings and info.
I'd like to get some feedback on how the community perceives this idea and if any of the streamers would be interested in this kind of an event being held. Obviously as mentioned in the document the weekly tournament could go on a pause during larger events, as well as could be used as a platform for testing maps for larger events.
I hope you share your thoughts and opinions as well as insight, if this kind of a tournament would fit AoE2 community.
Thank you for reading this, I hope you've a good day.

Tournament is open for streaming, both players and casters are allowed to stream.
It is recommended that you use the tournament banner and hand out the donation link for the prizepool on your stream and youtube description. However this is not a rule and is not going to be enforced.
Stream delay is not enforced, however stream cheating is not punishable offense either and is actually even recommended by the organizer.
Spec delay in the lobby is to be set at 3 minutes at the very least, use of speckick after a game is punishable offense. Admin will decide if a punishment is handed out or not depending on circumstances.

Sign ups will close on Monday 00:00 GMT each week and map/civ pool is set by Sunday 12:00 GMT. During sign ups it’s possible to request a seed in the tournament to fit the tournament in your personal schedule, only request a seed if you absolutely can’t play at any other time frames. Sign ups open on Tuesday 00:00 for the next week to create extra clarity. Sign ups will happen in discord. https://discord.gg/aggdUMV
Games are to be played on the lastest patch and with lastest version of wololokingdoms, not having it setup and causing the game to be delayed over 15 minutes will lead you to be disqualified.
First of all, the tournament is supposed to be a quick consistent high level games weekly, with possibility of having hiatuses during larger events.
Due to settings and everything, it is likely that we’ll see at times below pro level players and new names from time to time as the pro’s can be very busy at times and not everyone can fit their schedule around the tournament schedule every week.
This tournament will be ideal for testing map balance and new map settings from mirror map generation to most wild settings. The map maker can request a right to be an admin for the week when his map is used in the tournament to prevent bugged generations being played, but I expect the map to be tested so that over 95% of the generations are valid and I’ll be checking that personally.
The maps will be decided a week in advance so that there will be a week to check the generations, discuss and balance the maps to prevent them from being unfair. Also this will give time to decide on the civ pool.
What comes to rules and admin decisions, it’s encouraged that the tournament runs flawlessly and with minimal delays and inconveniences for all of the players and admins. None of us have time to wait around and have more important things to do at times, so do not sign up if you know that there is a high chance of missing a game on the week you’re planning to sign up on. This being a weekly tournament disqualification is definitely not a huge deal or a punishment, thus the admins should not be scared to disqualify players incase they cause delays.
Small piece of mind for admins, incase there is any sort of drama you’re recommended to disqualify a player, this tournament is meant to be enjoyable experience for everyone, if someone starts to go against this ideology during a match, you’re free to disqualify the player.
What comes to streaming rules etc. the point of keeping the tournament open and basically not having streaming rules is to make the tournament as light as possible on the admins and to make the tournament as light and easy to run as possible, so that the weekly format is as sustainable as possible.
