Really great play by p4 in the baltic game, all xbows positioned nicely with good kt management, just a nice strategy overall by alc. But why on earth p7 doesn't tell p6 to wall is beyond me, if p6 walls and lands p4 with sling it's gg gb.

i'm watching game 1, the arabia, and it seems we lost it cause of weak econ ..
maya vs hun is a hard matchup to play vs.. and el dorado eagles do damn good vs mangudai
hun pocket was perfect for alc, because hun pocket = just horse. no castle transition into mangudai, etc. hard to play vs it. the little archer attack by p4(mayan) on me (pocket) was very good too. stopped me from doing a strong 2 stable pump and i had to catch up econ wise.

i needed carto earlier. also needed to harass their trade much harder and earlier. i had a LOT of idles for a long time too... but this was 3rd game of the week so still in wramup mode. asdf!

ram pushing the mongol might have won the game as well. i didn't know that for so long he was not elite mangudai

alc did a good job of catching all our trade attacks, building up their own trade, and then pushing together in the middle to kill our trade.

the raiding was great as well!

yeah.... baltic was not so good walls, and i should have landed p2 right away in imp with a castle + some fires, then pushed their land, instead of waste time killing off p4 buildings from our land. only way we coulda won that one given everything else that happened. had the res to really push too...

the way it worked out, everything was too late. red viking outposted at a good time, saw my siege ong with army.
blue mongol was given the extra 10 mins to get his own stuff fully upgraded and then push

migra.... both flanks (me + athena) lost water without building up on main land. that's the reason for the GG.
i tried to fast up, should have more slow up with more fish. OR should have sent more galley to pocket... but if i did that, i may have lost grush. i think that 1 galley was only one i could spare.
i did one bad fight @ his base. i had 43 total army, he had 38. BUT all his 38 were there, while i had 9 ships going, so he outnumber in the actual fight.
then i played catch up on water, while he used his wood to make tcs on land... + he had more wood, because viking..

I think you still have a lot of work to go with eco management in grush in general, in archi game too once you lost sea you had 0 food whole time with imp no where in sight. Wheelbarrow is still an important upgrade and to not have it upgraded at 35 min+ kinda sux.

First I wanna say you're a good player but you lack a lot of experience, I'll tell you my opinion on your play cause I disagree with most thing that you wrote.It's is probably to blame on the fact that its hard to get many games against good players nowadays, so don't be offended by it lol and you seem eager to improve :P

Game 1 Arabia: To be honest we played horrible there. Multani played really bad, I always only play once a week when its wcl and I knew I'd **** something up. In this game I sent way too many/early on gold, left me with 800 gold and no food.. delayed my additional stables for like 2 gamemins thus I wasn't very effective. Now multani didn't his 3rd gold while f_alc_en took my 3rd..
At this point the game was yours, with both our mong/hun without any gold you could have applied more pressure. For example some rams on me might have been good, I was busy enough fighting elite ew with only lcav. Also _RA_ kinda wasted most of his ew..
Rest of the game you just tried to run in our trade while there wasn't much going on, of course we see that. You never tried multiple locations at once. Then you defended here and there, you didn't bother to add hussars.. thanks to that I could just kill all of reds econ while you have to hit and run on hellebs and few palas.
Sure you played good but you just defended and got some kills here and there.. considering mine and multanis situation it wasn't all that special. You just need more map presence, be more aggressive, attack on multiple places ect. and not just react on what happens

Game 2 Baltic: Of course the main person to blame for your loss here is _RA_ but if you had water you probably would have won anyways. And the reason why I won water was sorta your responsibility. I built my dock next to yours, of course I don't wanna race a mongol to feudal, so I abandoned it. When you saw my early 4 ships in feudal you should have noticed that I do have some hidden docks.. but you never went looking for them.
At this point the only way I see you winning the game is to manage to bypass my ships and land + sling in castle age.
You say you should have landed me in imp, but trust me it wouldn't work. Landings on imperial age on a watermap should NEVER work. If they work then it's because the guy who was landed made a mistake, didn't pay attention or has not much experience at all. If you want an imp landing to work you gotta build at least some units beforehand, then land and build behind them. If you look at my pov: full sight of coast, barrack built beforehand for fast archery/stable access.. extra stone ready too and I was even waiting for a move from you.. the only reason I built that outpost was because I got suspicious when there wasn't any landing attempt yet.

Game 3 Migra: In my opinion you took a gamble, upped fast with barely any fishers. I also believe dock first is always the best option on migra too.. because of the fast sling to castle age you probably don't collect much food on land so fishers are pretty much the only food source. If we were close you'd win early, in this case we weren't far from each other but not super close either... so the result was your pocket had to sling you 800 food, while my pocket didn't even have to give me half of that.
Then you fully go water, I see you write you had more army at one point.. that's great, I also knew you have more army. But I know the distance from your to my docks, I also know I wont lose the fight early castle age when I hug my docks so I intentionally built a few less ships and invested this extra wood in econ to get a later advantage. On water you can't really raid the econ, so it's always a good thing to do something to get ahead economywise whenever you can afford it without losing water.
The only reason you pushed me back later on was because I heard you're not in mid, so I became suspicious and didn't expect you to fully go sea nor to have so much wood on your island.
So if you thought everything through a bit more then _RA_ could have had more ress for himself.. also if you happen lose water like this then you're pretty much out of the rest of the game.

Game 4 Archipel: Not much to say here. My dark age was bad.. I had no deer in feudal. I knew you would up much faster to castle age so I told my mates approx 1 min before you hit castle that without help I'll end up losing water. Multani changed his waypoints to me and when you hit castle I knew you wont fight before the upgrades are done. So I pushed out, went down on the side, waited for you to go to my docks and close you in. Of course its hard to just stay back and give this possible win away but going into a narrow place like that is always very risky. Instead you could have used your advantage to build more econ, which would have increased your advantage even further.

Also our landing attempt should have never worked (again landings in imp without bringing any units should never work), reason it worked: no sight at all and none of you were really prepared to defend a possible landing either.

Game 5 MR: You up way too fast again.. I think you were far behind everyone in early feudal, also judging by your late presence in the game I think it also took you too long to build up a decent economy in general. In this game your team just built trade much later and athena never had any economy going.


I didn't analyze your pov but this is what I observed while playing. I'm really slow and have been inactive forever.. the only reason I can keep somewhat up there is because on every action I take I consider every possible consequence. I take informations out of the time you up, what civ you have, when you attack , how many units you have, when you make upgrades, how far we are apart ect. out of this you get a good picture of the enemies economy.Like this you know if you're slightly behind or ahead. Also if I'm ahead I think of what you can do to take my advantage away, I don't recklessly run in and try to finish you, unless I see it as the only option to win the game.

You're probably faster than I am now and you play good and solid.. you just have to think a bit more ahead in the game and know what happens if you do this or that
