Hey guys, here are my maps

Volcano.
With only wood patches in the middle, it is easy to raid the enemys woodline and go very aggressive. Yet dont forget the water on the outside as it provides a huge boost to your food economy and your town center is often placed very near the coastline. The map is made in a jungle design.

Show how good you can micro on Glush.
It is a double map, so you start with a 2 town centers, but here is the clue not double the resources. Your first town center is on a green land with. some wood patches. You have sheep, berries, 2 boars and 5 deer, but no stone at all and just 2 gold piles.
The second town center though is located on an island, which only has 4 sheep and tons of stone and gold on it.
Invade the enemy water and island? Or attack him on land to get him out of wood? A lot of possiblities here!

Canyons.
Complete standard resources, but canyons everywhere and wood only on mountains. The map has 3 designs implemented (dry, green, snowy).

The last one is Water Fortress.
Start with standard resources on your own fortress on an island. Only problem though, you have to migrate to the center to get wood. As ships can reach like everything from the coastline, it might be a good idea to grush. But be careful, you need wood to grush! So attacking the enemy wood choppers really fast can pay off.

I love all these. A little less standard than most of the maps before, but looking like fun to play and you will have to prove how you can adapt to that.
As War is Coming probably won't have that many maps from this competition, but we already have a lot of great entries, maybe a different tournament in the future (with not that high prizes) could use only maps from here.
I also like the suggestion to put a number of the maps into a homemap pool, so you don't have to play more than one per round, but can choose from a few.

Panem
Every player starts on a tiny (1x1) island, with a transport ship, and has to travel to the edges of the arena to start his/here empire.
While there is also an island in the middle of the lake with some precious resources to gather.
This map, as a friend of mine said, is a 'mix between nomad, baltic and islands, where both water and land are important and it invites the uses of different strategies'. I'm really curious to see how others would play this map.
Panem, as the name suggests, is based on a 'Hunger Games' arena, more specifically on the 75th arena from the second book Catching Fire, but without any tricks. You don't have to know the story to understand the map tho.
