I have the smurfs stored in the main file (i.e. who & which place per week). How would you handle it to make it fairer?

The Chris example still shows there was a time in the last <2 years where he was consistently top ranked on the ladder. One can mean very different things by "consistency ranking". If there is an actual need to know about e.g. the consistency of the last 4 months, I can provide it. Otherwise I just do this for fun and I'm more interested in the long term historical perspective (i.e. the list is not about making predictions for current tournaments).

Hi. I hope you don't mind me making a suggestion for this. If player x is rank 3 and 4 I think the rank 5th player should maybe get the points for 4th and the rank 17th player should get the points for 16th etc.

It's amazing how this last chart seems.. so oddly accurate, even though Voobly's ladder gets so much hate for being supposedly uncompetitive and not telling of player's actually skill.(which it probably is to an extent but)

Are there any chances of you continuing this once the community has settled on one side of the barrier in the game fight(DE vs Voobly)?

I disagree here. Given how much viper dominates the 1v1 scene, I find the voobly rating pretty inaccurate (and this is by far not the only case - overall, I don’t find the top 10 particularly correct in terms of reflecting player skill)

I didn't mean to say that this ranking is a 100% accurate reflection of how these players actually compare against each other(any ranking where Viper isn't #1 is probably inaccurate in that sense) but rather that... all the 'pro players' that you would expect at the very top are there, typically within 2-3 spots from where they 'should' be by their skill.
It does, obviously, show that the ladder ELO isn't a perfect indicator of one's skill, but that its still a very good one.

I don't think the system isn't working properly, but you need to know how to use it. This system is never going to give you the exact position, it is the same to be #8 or #9m but it is not the same being 15xx than being 18xx, and that is why this is useful.

Well, elo is only reliable if you play a lot. BF players play a lot of tg while pros don't play as much, and especially they dont play against everybody, so they cannot get "fresh" points.

However, I agree that the elo calculation in TGs is mathematically dubious at least
