This is a gross over-extension from Voobly.
First of all, Voobly has shown no interest in keeping it's own platform "PG-13." Game lobby's are consistently full of racial slurs and sexist language which has very rarely, if ever, seen any action taken from a Voobly admin. If this is how Voobly wants to own their own platform, that's fine. Turning around and forcing streamers make their own content PG-13 on a platform intended for mature audiences however is absolutely moronic.
Here are the new rules:
I think Voobly is shooting themselves in the foot once again, starting a crusade against the people who are persuading people to join their platform.
- All streamers must agree and follow the tournament protocol for Organized Events. Voobly.com reserves the right to remove the streaming privileges of any streamer at any time without notice for violations of the tournament protocol.
- All streamers broadcasting games played on Voobly.com must add the Voobly logo to their video stream. The logo must be persistent, clearly visible and directly embedded into the video stream. The broadcast of games played on Voobly.com without the Voobly logo will be considered an abuse of streaming privileges.
- All streamers broadcasting tournaments or events on Voobly.com must also add the logo and name of the tournament to their video stream. The logo and the name of the tournament must be persistent, clearly visible and directly embedded into the video stream. The broadcast of tournaments on Voobly.com without the tournament logo and tournament name will be considered an abuse of streaming privileges.
- All streamers broadcasting on Voobly must turn off Twitch's "The broadcaster indicated that the channel is intended for mature audiences" notification. All video streams must be suitable for individuals who are 13 years of age or older. The broadcast of non-PG-13 contents will be considered an abuse of streaming privileges.
No there is not, unfortunately. Basically Voobly spectates the game and reads data from it, then the overlay reads data from Voobly. Is there any way to use Spectator Overlay outside Voobly? I only ask since it was Viper's father who designed it, and Viper didn't like this update too much

No idea, I made a topic on Voobly in the hope they'll elaborate on this: https://www.voobly.com/forum/thread/302195So, as Nili already asked, doesn't the "on Voobly" part in the 3rd and 4th (and maybe also in the 2nd¿) point mean it only affects streamers which have streamlive on - hence broadcasting 'on Voobly' ?

Report voobly to microsoft? That's about as stupid as this new rule. Both parties need each other equally.
By parties I did not mean voobly and microsoft. I meant voobly and the aoe community, and especially the streamers. Of course microsoft doesn't need voobly, I agree with what you say. But what would happen if voobly were to shut down forever tomorrow? Gameranger and HD are no serious alternatives to voobly, and how Aoe II DE will be we cannot tell. A shut down of voobly would easily be one of the worst things that can happen to age of empires.Oh please. Microsoft does not "need" voobly. A corporation with 4th quarter 2018 profits of $9 billion does not "need" a piece of **** scam like voobly with no talent behind it, no IP, and no support from its own users.
Voobly has *nothing* going for it *except that there's no competition,* because the HD team has done an even *worse* job, which is nothing short of impressive.
Microsoft could make voobly obsolete in about 2 months if they cared to bother. But they don't. Microsoft's gaming division's management has been a trainwreck of anti-user decisions from day 1, going back to the 90s.

heh, how fitting that he says the "I'd rather blow my brains out" line right as the subtitles say "or switching to HD"https://www.captiongenerator.com/1304732/Hitler-is-outraged-by-voobly-CoC-changes

There is no ladder/ELO system, no spectating system beside the UserPatch one. Also ads are annoying. Can someone remind me again, what do we have against gameranger? I dont think I've ever actually tried it myself.
It doesn't have a ladder system, spectator features, or profiles where you can download recorded games. It also has some rather loud/annoying ads that play. Can someone remind me again, what do we have against gameranger? I dont think I've ever actually tried it myself.
