Well it showed that the monitor uses right 120 HZ oder 144 HZ refreshrate, but the game has very low fps. I Saw this when i activated windows mouse in game. The windows mouse was moving fast and properly, the Aoe mouse had lag and low fps
havent fixed that though until now so still need advice
Dude aoc works at 20 fps, voobly version runs at the same refresh rate, i guess only single player runs at 60 fps, 120 hz was simply impossible at that times.
I don't know about the fps capability of AoE 2 in general - but several people have mentioned lag problems with multiple monitors on different refresh rates on windows 10 (expecially when one of the refresh rate is no multiple of 60 iirc).
So if AoE may runs even slower than 60 fps, one thing you could try is deconnecting the 144 Hz Monitor to check if that fixes the problem. - If that fixes the problem you can check if it is possible to set the 144 Hz monitor to 120 Hz too, it then should run still fine.
Ah, well the Problem is definitly the Framerate of voobly aoc. Its just a bit distracting especially at scrolling. It doesnt feel smooth. I just can say cause i used to play on HD with runs in this regard more smooth.
Have you tested deconnecting the second monitor though¿ Because the symptoms you describe sound somewhat similar to the issu i mentioned before when using multiple monitures with different framerates on win 10.
But if that is not the cause of the problem, I am afraid I can not help you and hope someone else has an idea, for me both Voobly and Steam run (internet lag on Steam appart) equaly fine.
Perhaps the issue isn't with your monitor. It could be, but it is far from clear that it is the cause. Are your drivers up to date? There are several options you can try. Voobly offers some options (e.g. running the game in 32-bit colors and enabling/disabling hardware acceleration). It could also be a problem with DirectX. For me it makes the game run a lot smoother if I run it in 8-bit colors (although this increases the startup times for me somehow).
